THANK HIM FOR ALL

THANK HIM FOR ALL Zechariah 4:1-10 Devotional:- “The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; His hands shall also finish it and thou shalt know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto you” (V. 9) KJV In such a season as this, one of the weapons of the devil to steal the joy of many is discouragement. The enemy will make them see that God has not been good to them. He will make us to think of what God has not done, and not what He has done. He will make us compare ourselves to others and so one will see other people as better.   God can provide all that you need, and He is not mindful or unfaithful to you. He gave you the one you have today, but all that is good for your life. He will also give you if you can wait on Him by faith. Such time like this should challenge us to become better to do better. Every time you are not happy with your current situation, just know that a change is about to take place in your life. It is now you who will determine ...

SERVING WITH LOVE

SERVING WITH LOVE

Scripture Reading: 1 Peter 4:7-11
Devotional:- “And above all things have fervent love for one another, for "love will cover a multitude of sins."” (V. 8) NKJV

It is impossible to faithfully serve without loving. When it comes to serving, no one would love to submit to it except by the love of Christ. This is because; service demands that you relinquishing yourself of your ego to be of assistance to someone. In a natural sense, it looks like demotion. That is why only the humble can serve. To therefore be a vessel unto honour, our service unto God must be with love.

The word of God said we need to have fervent love for each other. One version said we should love as though our live depend on it. Another version said our love for others should be intense and unfailing. It is very easy to serve to show. So that people will credit us for doing well, but the Bible encourages us not to do that (Ephesians 6:5-7). Our service should be unto the Lord whenever we are. We may be serving in our house, office, in the community or in the house of God. We should serve sincerely and with love.

Friend, God will not reward eye service or service out of necessity (Matthew 6:1-2). You need to know that your career or business is also service to God. This is because that business should be bringing honour and glory to God (1 Corinthians 10:31). So love people and not just their money. And God will reward you faithfully (Hebrews 11:6). Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, give me the grace to always serve with love.

“SERVING IN LOVE MAKES YOU GIVE YOUR BEST AND GET THE BEST FROM GOD”.
