That is, they get annoyed and refuse to relate to one another. Many of us have some people we don’t greet now on this account. Some people have taken offence at their parents and relations, and they refused to relate to them. The truth is that if you know the harm you are doing to yourself by so doing, you will give up on this.   In the scripture we read today, John the Baptist was not happy because Jesus did not come to rescue him from prison, and he took offence at Christ. PERSEVERANCE

PERSEVERANCE

Scripture Reading: Romans 5:1-5
Devotional:- “And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance;” (V. 3)

Every God’s vessel must be willing to persevere. It is only those who can persevere that can prevail. Most good achievements need tenacity and endurance. Every great achievement have painful endurance. All God’s vessel must therefore learn to persevere.

The word of God says; perseverance produces character. To persevere is to stay in pursuit of a goal, though, it looks not working. Most good ventures will always want to proof difficult or even impossible. In the cause of a man persevering, i.e. determined to stay through, he will pick many lessons and develop new characters. This is the beauty of persevering. Desperate and temperamental people cannot grow.

Friend, in what God has given you to do, there is a need to stay through to the end. That is the way to become real man or woman. Staying in our pursuit will make us experience man in his diversity. It will teach us not to depend on people. It will teach us ways to understand with people in their situations and their level of weaknesses. We will see real and genuine people in their challenges and make us appreciate God for our lives. Then we will become rich and strong in our hope in God. Peace.

PPRAYER: Lord, give me a persevering spirit.

“ONLY THOSE WHO CAN PERSEVERE CAN BE REAL PEOPLE”.
