HOW SERVANTS THINK

HOW SERVANTS THINK Numbers 14:11-25 Devotional:- “But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it” (V. 24).   To be a servant requires complete mental shift and change in attitude. Before God, attitude count more than achievement (2 Chronicles 25:2). So, when we look at how real servants think, they think more about others than themselves. Humility is not thinking less of ourselves but thinking of ourselves less (Philippians 2:4). Jesus takes the form of a servant (Philippians 2:7). We can measure our servant’s heart by how we respond when others treat us as servants. Real servants think like a steward and not owner. They keep in mind that God owns it all.  To become a real servant you’ve got to settle the issue of money in your life (Luke 16:13). Please understand that money has a great potential to replace God in our heart. When Jesus is your master...

WAITING ON THE LORD

WAITING ON THE LORD

Isaiah 40:25-31
Devotional:- “But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint”  V 31

A life style of waiting on the Lord, is a life style of the mature people in the Lord. It can only become your life style if you choose to live by waiting on Him in all situation. It is only those who cultivate the lifestyle of waiting on the Lord by choice that can enjoy regular divine direction. This is not a choice for people who feel following God is a burden.

In the Scripture we read today, the Bible talks about how God give strength to His own people. Strength here talks about unstoppable ability. It is about prevailing and victorious grace. These are the people that can fulfill their dreams notwithstanding the resistance and the devices of the devil. Waiting on the Lord is not once a while thing, but a life style.

To wait on the Lord, is to always acknowledge him in every situation. (Proverbs 3:5-6). To acknowledge Him is to wait on Him for direction like a waiter waits on you for selection of food in a restaurant. You must choose to live your life by His direction (Psalms 37:23). God want to influence our decisions by the Holy Spirit in us. This is the reason the Holy Spirit dwells in us. But we must choose to always acknowledge and obey Him. Then, you will be able to walk in His ways. Peace

Prayer: Lord, help me to always wait on you.
