  TIME OF CELEBRATION  2 Samuel 6:11-23 Devotional:- “Then David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was wearing a linen ephod” (V. 14) NKJV As much as this season is tagged with much celebration, the enemy often tries to see how he could poison the joy of many people to remove them from the list of people who will celebrate. It will be wisdom for you to know that happiness and sorrow are a choice. I will advise you to choose to rejoice in hope and leave sorrow for the enemy (Romans 5:22). In the scripture we read today, David and all the people were in a mood of celebration because of the advent of the ark of the Lord. But a lady could not see what was worth celebrating, and she took offence at David’s elegant celebration. And she remains barren till her death. Friend, if the coming of the ark of the Lord is sufficient to lose celebration, how much more the coming of Christ, the Son of God. Don’t let the devil push you to sorrow corner in a time like this. Genesis 1:26-31
Devotional:-“Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth."  v. 28


   When God made man, he was made just like God to have dominion over all that He has made. Man was made a spirit, he possesses a soul and lives in a body (Genesis 2:7). Since we were made like God, one of the features made with us is the ability to choose. So, we have the ability to choose between what is right or wrong and good and evil. That is why the Psychologists said, we are free moral agent. God respects our choices and decisions (Deuteronomy 30:19). He made us as free moral agents so that we can choose to love God.

Please understand that we are not made like robots to just do what God wants without our will (Isaiah 1:19). Man can choose whether to love God or not (Deut. 30:19-20). Moses told the children of Israel to choose the way of God, because he knew that our decisions are our choices.

You and I need to wake up to know that whatever happens to us in life is a product of our choices. We therefore need to be conscious of our steps for we are responsible for all our choices. We will be judged in eternity based on the choices we made in the course of our events on earth (2 Corinthians 5:10). As kingdom citizens, it is important we learn the act of making right choices. That is when we can be approved before our King for our lifting. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, teach me to make the right choices before you always

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV      One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.
