TAKE NO OFFENCE Luke 7:18-30 Devotional:- “And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me” (v.23) NKJV   🎙 Victory Daily Devotional TAKE NO OFFENCE Support Us Luke 7:18-30 Remi Agbabiaka Outreach Ministry (RAOM)  |  victorydaily.blogspot.com Sometimes, men easily get offended. That is, they get annoyed and refuse to relate to one another. Many of us have some people we don’t greet now on this account. Some people have taken offence at their parents and relations, and they refused to relate to them. The truth is that if you know the harm you are doing to yourself by so doing, you will give up on this.   In the scripture we read today, John the Baptist was not happy because Jesus did not come to rescue him from prison, and he took offence at Christ. He sent messengers to Jesus to ask if He was the Christ or not. This question see...

STRENGTH DRAINER

STRENGTH DRAINER

Hebrews 12:1-6
Devotional:- “Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,” Vs 1

It is important that we recognize the things that drain our strength and chooses never to live our life with them. There are so many of such things that we do not bother to recognize that actually constitute barriers. Though small, but if not destroyed could become mountains. These are anxieties, discouragement, frustration, self-condemnation, lack of self-esteem, heaviness of the heart and guilt. Some are sins to oneself, others are sins to God.

Our scripture today teaches us that they can constitute weight on us that we may not be able to run the way we are supposed to. They can distract our mind and they can ensnare us. It is therefore wisdom that you choose to lay them aside and run to fulfill your destiny. These strength drainers are actually lies of the devil that looks true, so as to steal our strength. That is why the Bible says, the joy of the Lord is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10).

To lay them aside, you must learn to refuse to listen to the sermon of the enemy on your past errors. Confess those sins to God and believe in His faithfulness to forgive (1 John 1:7-9).Refuse to retain the memories of such events. Pick lessons from them and discard them. Any time the enemy brings the memory to your mind check it out by the blood of Jesus (Hebrews 9:13-14). Keep looking unto the faithfulness of Jesus Christ who is able to perfect your success in glory. Please despite those strength, weakening of memories and you will have peace for progress

Prayer: Lord, deliver me from the strength drainers of life.
