That is, they get annoyed and refuse to relate to one another. Many of us have some people we don’t greet now on this account. Some people have taken offence at their parents and relations, and they refused to relate to them. The truth is that if you know the harm you are doing to yourself by so doing, you will give up on this.   In the scripture we read today, John the Baptist was not happy because Jesus did not come to rescue him from prison, and he took offence at Christ. OBEDIENCE

OBEDIENCE

Isaiah 1:11-20
Devotional:-“If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;” v19

You need to become aware that your act of obedience to God is a choice. Anytime you choose not to obey the Lord, you are implicated by your choice. That is why it is so important that you consciously choose to obey the Lord from now. We often get disturbed when we pay for something to happen and they didn’t happen. We are not often conscious that our choice will determine our result.

In our Scripture today, the word of God gave us the privilege to make a choice whether to obey Him or not. So, the Bible uses the language “if you are willing and obedient” God’s word says you shall eat the good of the land. Another version says you shall eat the best of the land.

Friend, God’s covenant blessings are for those who will choose to obey the Lord in every situation. Please, wake up to this consciousness whatever you do is your choice. What God will do for you is based on your choice in life. Be conscious and be deliberate in all your actions. God is taking your action not as a mistake or unconscious step but your choice. So brace up yourself. Choose to always obey Him and He will always bless the work of your hand. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, give me a heart to always obey you.
