MEDITATING

MEDIATING Hebrews 8:1-13 Devotional:- “But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises” (V. 6) NKJV In the Old Testament, the human priest used to stand in the gap between God and man. But because they are also human and can also sin, their priesthood was not able to actually deliver the human race. This is the ministry Jesus is carrying out on behalf of the believers since His ascension to heaven.  This ministry was taken over by Jesus because He loves us. Though He is seated on the throne but sitting closely to the Father to advocate for us. A mediator is someone who stands in the gap between the benefactor and the beneficiary. He is the one who pleads our cause to God. He is the one who intercedes for us before the Father. That is why we can be certain of our faith in God through Christ Jesus. Friend, since we know that we have Christ Jesus standing in for us, then our faith ...

HABIT

HABIT

Joshua 7:16-26
Devotional- “When I saw among the spoils a beautiful Babylonian garment, two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold weighing fifty shekels, I coveted them and took them. And there they are, hidden in the earth in the midst of my tent, with the silver under it." Vs. 21

One terrible thing that has held many people down from experiencing their change is habit. Habits are attitude or practices we have allowed to dominate our lifestyle. There are good and bad habits. The bad ones are practices that could be detrimental to our progress in life. The moment people get used to such habits, the devil takes advantage of it and uses it as a factor of delay and destruction.

The man we read about today put himself and his family into terrible shame and destruction because of bad habit. This bad habit was covetousness. Most people use to think they will manage through with it but it is not manageable. If you have any bad habit, it is always better to deal with it before it deals with you. Any time God sees this life style in you, He sees no reason for releasing your promotion.

It may be that you are used to lying or stealing or adultery or wickedness or smoking or drinking alcohol. None of these will qualify you for your change. You need to know that God has been giving you a long rope to pull. That is, giving you warning to repent (2 Peter 3:9)

All you need to do is to see the need for change. Then, go back to God and repent before Him. Seek for the counsel of men of God and confess before them. Give more time to fellowship with the word of God and his people (John 15:3). Depart from any association that encourages such habits, then, your change shall come. And you will see your glory emerging.

Prayer: Lord, deliver me from bad habits

“YOU NEED TO OVERCOME BAD HABIT NOW, SO THAT IT DOES NOT PUT SHAME ON YOUR DAY OF GLORY”
