REFRAIN YOUR LIPS Proverbs 10:14-21 Devotional:- “In the multitude of words sin is not lacking, But he who restrains his lips is wise” (v.19) NKJV   🎙 Victory Daily Devotional REFRAIN YOUR LIPS Support Us Proverbs 10:14-21 Remi Agbabiaka Outreach Ministry (RAOM)  |  victorydaily.blogspot.com Do you know that your words are an expression of your heart? They can be used as a picture of yourself. You will notice that a lot of the time you have the privilege of conversing with people, something just keeps pushing you to continue talking until you overdo it. Then you’ll begin to say what you don't mean to say. Many a time, the volume of words that come out of our mouths is not what we have planned for or decided, but because we have not learned to caution our lips, which is an act of discipline. POTTAGE OF DESTINY

POTTAGE OF DESTINY

Genesis 25:29-34
“And Jacob gave Esau bread and stew of lentils; then he ate and drank, arose, and went his way. Thus Esau despised his birthright.” Vs. 34

Appetite many times lead people to do the unthinkable. Appetite for sex makes some rape others, appetite for money turn some to robber, appetite for fame makes some go into occultic practices. Esau was terribly hungry. He saw Jacob with pottage and just to satisfy his hunger, he threw away his birth right over the pressure of hunger and the sight of a post of delicious pottage. His lifelong treasure and his birth right meant nothing anymore to him. He lost it, he lost the blessing meant for him and his linage in life.

Please, master and control your appetite or your desire in life. Put them under control in subjection to God’s word (1 Corinthians 9:27). Do not gratify it at the detriment of your destiny and that of your family. Esau lost a glorious destiny because of a bad choice he made. He later regretted his choice. He wept and begged for blessing, but they were no more (Hebrews 12:16-17).

See, most of the mistakes we made in life can be corrected, but some cannot be corrected. Esau’s mistake cannot be corrected, he lost his destiny for food. You are to take charge of your appetite, else, it will rob you of your blessings. Allow the Holy Spirit to help you and He will.

Prayer: Lord, give me grace to put myself under your check always
