  OTHER gods Psalm 16:1-11 Devotional:- “Their sorrows shall be multiplied who hasten after another god; Their drink offerings of blood I will not offer, Nor take up their names on my lips.” (v.4) NKJV When people are caged in the spirit of idolatry. It will take God to deliver them. This spirit enslaves them in an endless journey of sorrow. They keep moving on in their wicked and painful sacrifices till they enter into their pit of regrets. This is because wickedness makes people seek the devil for a solution. It is either that they want spiritual aid for promotion, money, or power that they are not entitled to. Since they think that God’s way seems to be slow, they then turn to the devil for faster ways and evil results that look temporarily good. Sons of men need to know that the evil of “get it quick at all costs” is foolishness. POTTAGE OF DESTINY   

Genesis 25:29-34 
“And Jacob gave Esau bread and stew of lentils; then he ate and drank, arose, and went his way. Thus Esau despised his birthright.” Vs. 34


    Appetite many times lead people to do the unthinkable. Appetite for sex makes some rape others, appetite for money turn some to robber, appetite for fame makes some go into occultic practices. Esau was terribly hungry. He saw Jacob with pottage and just to satisfy his hunger, he threw away his birth right over the pressure of hunger and the sight of a post of delicious pottage. His lifelong treasure and his birth right meant nothing anymore to him. He lost it, he lost the blessing meant for him and his linage in life.

Please, master and control your appetite or your desire in life. Put them under control in subjection to God’s word (1 Corinthians 9:27). Do not gratify it at the detriment of your destiny and that of your family. Esau lost a glorious destiny because of a bad choice he made. He later regretted his choice. He wept and begged for blessing, but they were no more (Hebrews 12:16-17). 

See, most of the mistakes we made in life can be corrected, but some cannot be corrected. Esau’s mistake cannot be corrected, he lost his destiny for food. You are to take charge of your appetite, else, it will rob you of your blessings. Allow the Holy Spirit to help you and He will.

Prayer: Lord, give me grace to put myself under your check always

“WHATEVER YOU LOOSE MAY BE DIFFICULT TO GET AGAIN”

FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV      One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
