JOY IN PRAYERS

JOY IN PRAYERS I Samuel 2:1-10 Devotional:- “And Hannah prayed and said: "My heart rejoices in the LORD; My horn is exalted in the LORD. I smile at my enemies, Because I rejoice in Your salvation.” (V. 1) NKJV We often fall into depression when we look around us, and all we see are unanswered prayers. It becomes worse when you are despised and mocked for that thing that you are looking up to God for. Hannah was like that, a depressed and unhappy woman. What was Hannah’s secret that made her proclaim to all that “my heart rejoices in the Lord”? 1. She decided to look away from her oppressor 2. She went to God in prayer, pouring her sorrow to God.  3. She made a vow to give God the child 4. She left the presence of God, believing God answers prayer. Hannah made good her vow, and her joy was full. Are you depressed? Pour your heart to God, make a vow to him, and you will see him answer your prayers and your joy will Come. CHOICE OF KNOWLEDGE

CHOICE OF KNOWLEDGE

Ecclesiastes 1:12-18
Devotional- “And I set my heart to seek and search out by wisdom concerning all that is done under heaven; this burdensome task God has given to the sons of man, by which they may be exercised.” V 13

Gaining knowledge in this world is also a choice. The truth is that knowledge when properly handled produces strength (Proverbs 24:5). Ignorant will make anyone a failure at the end. That is why as a kingdom citizen, you must give yourself to knowledge. Choose the part of knowledge that you may succeed.

In our Scripture of today, Solomon the king told us of how he gave himself to searching out in the school of Wisdom. This is seeking to know what makes life work. Most people don’t ever want to share what they know that has helped them, only few who are wise to help others. They rather want to stay up and intimidate the rest with their achievement.

If you choose the part of knowledge there is nothing any one is doing in greatness that you cannot do. Just be humble to learn. Get closer to those who can show you. If not, seek for books that are relevant to educate you in your profession or career. No one can stop you from knowing when you can seek it. It is not out of place if you decide to go back to school. Gather relevant books and study them. And your strength to rise will come.

Prayer: Lord, give me grace to choose the part of knowledge
