SHARING YOUR FEELING

SHARING YOUR FEELING Hebrews 4:11-16 Devotional:- “For we do not have an high priest who cannot sympathize with our weakness… (V. 15)” It is not always very easy for people to understand us, especially when we pass through challenges and are weak. Even those who want to understand and sympathise could get to a level and turn back. Sometimes, instead of people sympathising with us, they constitute a panel of judges and begin to point accusing fingers at us.  As part of the act of love of Jesus, the scripture we read today says, He sympathises with us in our situation. In other words, He knows exactly what you are going through, both the one you can explain and the one you cannot. He could feel exactly the way you feel. The Bible says, He has suffered as we do. Even if you are struggling with a weakness or a sin, He has also been in the flesh. He knows how painful your feelings are. He cannot reject you, and He identifies with you and still loves you. CAIN’S CHOICE

CAIN’S CHOICE

Genesis 4:1-7
Devotional:- “If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.” Vs. 7

When it comes to giving to God, either tithe or offering or seed, you find different kind of attitude. As citizen of the kingdom of God, you need to know that the most important thing to God when it comes to our giving life, is our willingness to obey God from the heart (Genesis 22:1-3). God will always test you to know what is in your heart (Deuteronomy 8:2-3). Your willingness to obey God qualifies you for the next level with God (Luke 16:10-12, Isaiah 1:19).

Cain wanted to give to God out of his substance. His attitude towards the act of giving determines what he gave to God. Cain gave to God a worthless offering and it was unacceptable to God. God says, he did not do well. Beloved, your choice of what you give to God determines the resultant blessings or curse as the case may be. Cain envied Abel his brother because God had respect for Abel’s offering and accepted it.

Many times, we envy the faithful children of God. Those who have caught the secret of sacrificial giving always give their best to God. Some could say that God is partial, but God is not partial, it is what you give that you get. If you give sparingly, you get sparingly. If you give bountifully, you get bountifully (2 Corinthians 9:6). May you begin to make a decision to give God the best from now.

Prayer:  Lord, help me to always give my best to you

“IF YOU DO WELL YOU WILL BE ACCEPTED”
