Victory Daily Devotional

A REWARDER   Hebrews 11:4-7. Devotional:- "For he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder, of those who diligently seek Him” (V.6)      Everyone involved in any kind of labor expects a reward. What motivates people into service or pursuit of life is the reward attached to it. It is embarrassing to see that most people labor for no reward, or rather their rewards don't often measure up to their service or input. This is the reason for frustration in the lives of many in the world today.

A LIFTER                                                         Psalm 3:1-8 Devotional:- "But you O Lord are a shield for me, my glory, and the lifter of my head". (V. 3) AMPL            Sometimes in the world, it is survival of the fittest. People in different businesses and offices of different professions seem to be racing and only the influential and the financially strong are gaining the edges and many are left in the cold without helpers for them.

ETERNAL GOD Deuteronomy 33:24-29 Devotional:- “The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arm.” (V. 27) KJV      God is eternal. He is God without a beginning or end. He is the God who has been, who is, and is to come. He is the God that has been in the dateless past. And when nothing else will be He will continue to be. Eternity is simply an existence of no beginning nor end. So, He is the beginning of all things and He will be the end of all things (Revelation 1:8).

ARK OF SALVATION  Genesis 7:1-10 Devotional:- And Noah and his sons and his wife and his son’s wife with him went into the ark because of the waters of the flood” (V. 7) AMPL        Jesus is the ark of salvation. Every generation in Him has always been safe. If you and your family will locate Him you shall be safe.

BITTER TURNED SWEET Exodus 15:22-27 Devotional:- “So he cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a tree. When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet. There He made a statute and an ordinance for them, and there He tested them,” (V. 25) NKJV      Your God can turn what is bitter to be sweet. When you see or experience anything bitter, you will understand that it has an element of bitterness and that is the reason for your experience. Then, human wisdom will tell you that unless you eliminate the bitter element it cannot be sweet. But God can turn that which has been bitter to be sweet. You don't need to divorce your spouse or quit business. That bitter water can be turned sweet.

GOD OF VICTORY 1 Samuel 17:39-50 Devotional:- “This day the LORD will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you. And this day I will give the carcasses of the camp of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.” (V.46) NKJV      Victory in life is not necessarily to the strong and is not often determined by the human power. All through the scripture God is proved to be a victorious God. It has never happened in history that God is involved in a battle and His people were defeated. He will always win every battle. This is because all power that be is of God.

IRREVERSIBLE BLESSING Number 23:5-25 Devotional:- “How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? Or how shall I defy, whom the LORD hath not defied?" (V. 8) KJV      Thanks be to God who always proves Himself as God in our lives. If not for Him, what shall we say today? Sometimes people become envious of another’s progress and they allow their envy to turn to wickedness. Some people always have evil desires against others. When they see someone blessed, they desire rather that such be cursed. But they do not know that God‘s blessing cannot be cursed (Romans 11:29).

LOCATING A KING   I Samuel 16:1-13 Devotional:- “Now the LORD said to Samuel, "How long will you mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? Fill your horn with oil, and go; I am sending you to Jesse the Bethlehemite. For I have provided Myself a king among his sons." (V. 1) NKJV      God is always in the business of locating rulers and kings. Since He is omnipresent and omniscient God sees all things and knows all things. He often prepares who will be the next ruler in every nation (Daniel 4:25). Not only does He locate and prepare, but He also appoints and enthrones. Nothing can be established without Him. He brings wicked rulers sometimes to discipline the people and righteous rulers sometimes to comfort the people.

REVEALING SECRETS Daniel 2:10-23 Devotional:- “He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him (V. 22)      Secrets are hidden information. It is something out of the reach of a normal person. The truth is that, we can only know what we are informed about. A man can't know the dream of his wife unless he is informed. But God's word says, "Secret things belong to the Lord our God but those things which are revealed belong to us…" (Deuteronomy 29:29).

MIRACLE HEALTH Deuteronomy 34:1-8 Devotional:- "And Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated” (V. 7) KJV      Long life has suddenly become a scarce commodity in the world today. Many are dying at ridiculous ages now. Instead of the rate of death to decrease because of medical development, the development itself has become the instrument of destruction.

CROSSING JORDAN Joshua3:7-17 Devotional:- “that the waters which came down from upstream stood still, and rose in a heap very far away at Adam, the city that is beside Zaretan. So the waters that went down into the Sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea, failed, and were cut off; and the people crossed over opposite Jericho.” ( V. 16 ) NKJV      God is a specialist in doing the unusual. What is impossible with men is possible with God. No situation can be called impossible with Him. He can always turn situations around. When He steps into any situation all forces responsible submits and down tools.

HEAVENLY BREAD Exodus 16:1-5 Devotional:- “Then the LORD said to Moses, "Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you. And the people shall go out and gather a certain quota every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in My law or not.” (V. 4) NKJV      Today one of the greatest challenges facing the world is the challenge of food. It is often called one of the primary needs of life. And this means it is so important to live. Some nations have it sufficiently but many insufficiently. One of the reasons is that attention is been shifted away from farming to technological development in many nations. And so many face hunger as a great challenge in their life. But I want to show you what God can do.

THE ANOINTING  I Samuel 10:1-9 Devotional:- “Then the Spirit of the LORD will come upon you, and you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man." (V. 6) NKJV      No matter what anyone may be today, God’s power can change them for good. The anointing is a divine endowment of God upon a man. It is a means through which mortal men can enjoy the virtue of the immortal God. When a man is anointed, he cannot but be changed to another man. In other words, every man can do great but only need the ignition of the anointing.

WATER FROM THE ROCK Exodus 17:1-7 Devotional:- “Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock in Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, that the people may drink." And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel”” ( V. 6) NKJV      It is always a mystery to see water coming out of the rock. This is because we know that rock is a solid material and water is a liquid material. When you look at it Scientifically you will observe that a rock could be sitting on water. And it could be possible for water to one day find its way out. But it's a different thing altogether when the water starts to come out of a rock for the very first time, after an instruction to strike. It means the instructor is in control.

MASTER OVER THE SEA Exodus 14:10-30 Devotional:- “Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided” (V. 21). NKJV      Any time God is on the move nothing can stop Him. Whatever stands in the way must give up at His coming. That is why you only need to allow God to be on the move in your life and you will Become unstoppable for the enemy.

THE GREAT RELEASE Exodus 13:17-22 Devotional:- "So God led the people around by way of the wilderness of the Red Sea, and the children of Israel went up in orderly ranks out of the land of Egypt" (V. 18)      When the fullness of time came for a man to be free, God will surely open an unstoppable door before him so That he may be released to his glory. No matter what your destiny experiences today, in God, there is glory ahead of you. And you cannot compare the glory to the suffering of now (Romans 8:18).

THE BURNING BUSH Exodus 3:1-10 Devotional:- “And the Angel of the LORD appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed” (V. 2) NKJV      God is a God of wonders. One day He gave a revelation to Moses that can be of great blessing to us today. Moses was a man created to lead his people out of bondage like you. And when the time came for God to call him to his assignment, He created a great way to call for his attention to speak to Him. God revealed to Moses a bush that was burning with great fire but was not consumed. This was a revelation of great symbol.

VENGER OF ENEMY Exodus 11:1-4 Devotional:- “Speak now in the hearing of the people, and let every man ask from his neighbor and every woman from her neighbor, articles of silver and articles of gold” (V. 2)      There is nothing happening that God does not know. When some people think they can cheat you and do away with it, they have no good knowledge of God. He will always avenge for His children. Nobody can escape with what belongs to you as a child of God. And that is why you should not try to cheat anyone too, neither should you rejoice of anyone's falling.

WISDOM TO GATHER Genesis 41:46-57 Devotional:- “And Joseph gathered grain as the sand of the sea, very much, until he stopped counting for it could not be measured” (V. 49) AMPL      One of the great virtues that have eluded the life of many people on the earth is the inability to gather good fortune in life. This in turn produces poverty and an inability to achieve good and great things in life. Since many do not understand what is wrong with them, they then resort to looking for wealth through any means good or bad. But let me introduce you to a God who can teach you to profit and give you the power to gather good wealth.

PRISON TO PALACE Genesis 41:37-44 Devotional:- “You shall have charge over my house, and all my people shall be governed according to your word [with reverence, submission, and obedience]. Only in matters of the throne will I be greater than you are” (V. 40) AMPL      People in this world go through so many challenges. But this does not mean that God’s power for victory is no longer available. A reason for God allowing us to go through challenges is for our training and raising us for our throne in the process of correcting and reforming us. Yet in the midst of these all, God's word made provision for our victory at last (1 Corinthians 10:13).

HAND OF INCREASE Genesis 30:25-34 Devotional:- “And Laban said to him, If I have found favor in your sight, I pray you [do not go]; for I have learned by experience and from the omens in divination that the Lord has favored me with blessings on your account” (V. 27) AMPL      God is the giver of virtue for increase. He is the God of increase. All men and women in the world always desire an increase in all good areas of their lives. Everyone puts in his or her best possible to always attain increase. But some forces stand against man's ability to increase. These forces are limitations, lack, poverty, ignorance, and failure. There are also forces of devourers, distractions, and procrastination. But for above that is the power of God for increase.

GOD OF NEW THINGS Isaiah 43:11-21 Devotional:- Behold, I will do a new thing… I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert” (V. 19)      Change is possible with God. Though He does not change, His programs are not static. He is a dynamic God. He is a God of several opportunities. He is a God of another chance. He can bring a change.  Some events in life are unchangeable or irreversible. Even if they ended up their effect will continue to be there but God is a God of new things.

MIRACLE BABY Genesis 21:1-7 Devotional:- “And Sarah said, "God has made me laugh, and all who hear will laugh with me"” (V. 6) NKJV      God is known for giving miracle babies. A miracle baby is the one born when no one is expecting. A miracle baby is the one born from the womb that is condemned. A miracle baby is the one that is given to a barren woman. It is the special and the peculiar one that will promote the glory of the family.

NEVER SLEEP Psalm 121:1-8 Devotional :- “Behold, He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep” (V. 4) AMPL      A terrible plague that is fast bewitching this generation is insecurity. The increase in poverty is fast creating the reaction of wickedness in society. The enemy often enters his children to perpetrate all forms of wickedness. The enemy is putting in his best to take over campuses for darkness. But thanks be to God who is fast taking over the earth by the understanding of the Lordship of Christ through His children.

GOD’S DESIRE III John 1-3 Devotional:- “Beloved, I wish above all things that, thou mayest prosper and be in health. Even as thy soul Prospereth” (V2) KJV      God’s ultimate desire is that all men will prosper. He has made and perfected all things for our prosperity. The first pronunciation God made to the man at creation was blessing. The creation of the entire world is basically to enhance our prosperity. It is His joy that we succeed and prosper. God owns no glory in a man’s poverty and failure. Do you know that God is the brain behind everyone coming to the earth? We are here on His mission. So, when a man fails, God also shares in the failure. This is because one of the works of His hand has failed. It is only when God has done all to be done and man failed by his own choice that God is exempted.

GOD’S PLAN FOR YOU Jeremiah 29:11-13 Devotional:- “For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil to give you an expected end" (V. 11)      Sometimes we look into our lives and observe other people. We see so many things yet not working well for us. This makes us feel God is not good towards us. But this is not true. I have observed that it is a mistake to measure God’s goodness by the current state of things with us. God is never like man. The moment you are His child, He is always working for your good. He has never forgotten you. He is not partial either

GOD’S GLORY                     Exodus 33:13-23 Devotional:- “Please show me your glory” (V. 18)      We all need to understand that we have equal privilege in God through Christ Jesus. God is no respecter of person, He is not a partial God but in every nation whoever fears Him He Honours them (Acts 10:34)

PRESENCE OF GOD Genesis 28:10-22 Devotional:- “Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go and will bring you back to this land: for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you”(v.15)      God is not just present everywhere; His presence is always available, particularly with His people. He said wherever two or three of us may be He will always be there (Matthew 18:20). He has promised never to live nor forsake His children (Hebrews 13:5). It means His presence thus not depart as we always think. It is only our iniquity that can separate us from Him (Isaiah 59:2).

WISDOM OF GOD Proverbs 3:13-23 The LORD by wisdom founded the earth; by understanding He established the heavens” (V. 19)      The reason for much failure in the world today is the lack of right wisdom. This is not wisdom from the world but the one from above. It is not the wisdom gained by academics or accumulated experiences but the wisdom of God.   It supersedes all other wisdom. God Himself is this wisdom made known by His word.

FATHER’S WILL  Ephesians 1:3-14 Devotional:- “having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself“ (V. 9) KJV      The challenge in the life of the people in many family is that, life is always beginning from zero. The past generations never thought of leaving a good inheritance for the present. Neither is the mind of many up till now thinking of what they shall leave for the coming generations. It is the reason why many are struggling today. They have no foundation upon which they can build their lives. So they have to struggle to build one.

FATHER’S MINISTRY   John 15:13-17 Devotional:- “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you” (V. 16) NKJV      We know so much about the ministry of the Son and the Holy Spirit, but much has not been known of the Father's ministry today. We need to know that God has not created anyone to suffer, struggle, or carry life challenges alone. God did not fashion life for struggle. Men only struggle because of ignorant of the order of life.

POWER OF GOD 1 Chronicles 29:10-21 Devotional:- "Both riches and honor come from you, and you reign over all. In your hand is power and might; In your hand, it is to make great and to give strength to all” (V. 12) NKJV      A great virtue of God is power and might. He is the one referred to as the most powerful, the ultimate of power. No one can stand His power. He is also the almighty. All might belong to Him. Power talks about generating energy and might talk about the demonstration of energy. God is the climax of the two.

OWNERSHIP OF GOD Exodus 19:1-10 Devotional:- “Now therefore if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to me above all people for all the earth is mine” (V. 5) NKJV      It is amazing the way some people lay claim to things of this world as if they will never leave them. God created all things before He made man. He created the land, the sea, and all that is in them. It is true that men thus buy landed property and all the documents bear their name. This does not remove the fact that it is still belonging to God. For all men will leave and God will remain the owner at last (Psalm 24:1). So He has only given us for a while.

GIFT OF GOD Romans 12:3-12 Devotional:- “Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith“ (V.6) NKJV      Gifts are God's investment in the life of each one on earth. They are instruments to produce our destiny. They are currency through which we can purchase our future. God's gifts in our lives are instruments of open doors to our greatness. It is by it we excel. These gifts are the ability or potentials God has kept in us for our profit. They are to make us of great value to people. They make each of us a blessing to our generation.

JUDGMENT OF GOD Exodus 12:1-12 Devotional:- “For I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD” (V. 12) NKJV      Our God is a God of judgment. No matter how much a man may try to escape, he cannot run for the judgment of God (Proverbs 11:21). That is why it will be wise for you and I to keep our eye on God and keep walking in His will.

GOD OF REUNION Genesis 33:1-11 Devotional:- “But Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him and fell on his neck and kissed him, and they wept (V. 4) AMPL      Relationship as it were determines so many things in our live. When there is a broken relationship many things also break. Jacob and his brother parted with great anger. He cunningly claimed his father’s blessing that the father had wanted to give to his brother Esau. The brother became so much embittered that he determined to kill Jacob. When the parents became aware, they agreed to send Jacob away to Laban a relation that is far away, thinking out of sight could be out of mind. When Jacob was leaving the house of Laban though he was blessed yet he had the fear of meeting his brother again. He prayed to God to touch the heart of his brother and God did.

JEALOUS GOD Exodus 34:9-17 Devotional:- “For you shall worship no other god, for the Lord whose name is Jealous is a jealous God” (V. 14) NKJV      Jealousy is one of the strong natures of God and you need to recognize your God as a jealous God. Ignorance of this has thrown many into the pit of regret. We should all learn to be careful not to provoke our God into jealousy. God's jealousy is a product of His great love toward His people. That Is why it is also natural for men to be jealous. How do you feel when someone is beating your children or spouse? That is why a parent cannot be allowed to come and be in class with their children.

CHASTISEMENT OF GOD Hebrews 12:1-11 Devotional:-  For whom, the Lord loves, He chastens and scourges every son whom He receives (V. 6) NKJV      Some people always hate to be corrected. But this is a product of their ignorance. That is why Solomon said it is foolishness to hate correction (Proverbs 12:1). One of the attitudes of God as a good father is to chastise His people. This is because if a man is left to his evil, he will end up in destruction.

LION’S GAMES   Daniel 6:7-22 Devotional:- “My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths so that they have not hurt. Me.” (V. 22) NKJV      Sometimes the enemy rises in the life of some people and enslaves them for destruction. It is always the business of the enemy to  steal, kill, and destroy. For this reason, so many people today cannot find the liberty to express their destiny. If you are facing such challenges, you need to know that God can deliver from the wickedness of this world  

IMPARTIAL Acts 10:34-48 Devotional:- “Then Peter open his mouth and said: "In truth, I perceive that God shows no partiality" (V. 34) NKJV      Due to the selfish nature of human, partiality is almost very natural for many. People will always want to satisfy themselves first. Partiality is injustice. It is handlining a matter in a way that is unfair to others. Because of the human selfish nature, we always want to show favoritism to our people before others.

FORBEARANCE OF GOD Jonah 4:6-11 Devotional:- “And should I not pity Nineveh, that great city, in which are more than one hundred and twenty thousand persons who cannot discern between their right hand and their left-and much livestock?” (V. 11) NKJV      It is amazing to see how God forbear with the sons of men. If not that the Lord can forbear, we will all have been consumed longest time. He is a God who understands us and always gives us a long rope to pull. Yet, men often abuse this and destroy themselves.

FAVOUR OF GOD              1 Samuel 2:12-26 Devotional:- “And the child Samuel grew on and in favor both with the Lord, and men (V. 26) NKJV      You need to know that your God is a God of favor. That is, it is in His habit to always favor His people. When a man is walking in the will of God, he will sooner or later start to enjoy God's favor. And when a man enters God's favor all things around him will gain a new turn.

EXCELLENT GOD Psalm 8:1-9 Devotional:- “O Lord our God how excellent (Majestic and glorious) is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory on [or above] the heavens” (V. 1) AMPL      What makes life glorious is when excellence is put into it. No matter how much a man is earning, the moment excellence is not his lifestyle, He will be void of glory and beauty. It is excellence that commands the glory of beauty in a man.

HE CAN SMELL  Genesis 8:14-22 Devotional:- “And the LORD smelled a soothing aroma. Then the LORD said in His heart, "I will never again curse the ground for man's sake, although the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done” (V.21) NKJV      One of the living attributes of God is that He can smell anything. This helps Him to approve and disapprove. This helps Him differentiate things of higher quality from things of lower quality (Genesis 4:4).
