THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. God is starting a brand-new thing with you. He is giving you new experiences of success and breakthrough. You need to lea...

DESTROYING BARRENESS

DESTROYING BARRENESS

2 Kings 4:8-17
Devotional:- “Then he said, "About this time next year you shall embrace a son." And she said, "No, my lord. Man of God, do not lie to your maidservant!” (V16) NKJV

There are many Christians today who are barren. Some are barren in their business, others in academics, and others in their family life. Barrenness means not being productive. God has ordained man to procreate and be productive. And His word says there shall be no one barren in our house. Not even our animals (Exodus 23:26). We therefore need to know that barrenness is not a lifestyle for a child of God. Whatever causes it is not the matter; God shall destroy it in your life. His will and His word shall be fulfilled in your life from now.

Let us learn from the scripture for today. The Shunamite woman has been barren for quite some time. She had even accepted it as a permanent problem. That was why she could not believe the man of God. But thank God she took a step that destroyed barrenness in her life and she became productive.

The step was that she accommodated the man of God. Many of us don’t know the importance of this. By doing this she was serving the Lord (Exodus 23:25-26). Let us learn something from now, in the mouths of men of God lies the word of God. Don’t forget they are God’s representatives here on earth. God often speaks through them. Therefore, you need to sow into their lives. Find a way to take care of him and his heart will be opened to bless you (Genesis 27:4). Do this always until your barrenness is broken. Don't forget, God spoke, and the earth was created. He still speaks today but through the mouths of His servants. If you despise them, you are despising your miracle.

Get involved in God’s service, belong to a department in the church, and devote yourself to it (Exodus 23:25). God's word will soon come to you to recreate your life. Don’t forget that it’s the word that Sarah and Hannah also heard from a servant of God that changes their story. No matter the noise around, God still gives the church the gifts of prophets (Hosea 12:13). The word carries life and germinates to lives in them (John 6:63). Your barrenness is broken in Jesus' name.

PRAYER: LORD, SEND YOUR LIVING WORD INTO MY LIFE.
