THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. God is starting a brand-new thing with you. He is giving you new experiences of success and breakthrough. You need to lea...

LIVING ABOVE DISCOURAGEMENT

LIVING ABOVE DISCOURAGEMENT

Nehemiah 2:17-20
Devotional:- “So I answered them, and said to them, "The God of heaven Himself will prosper us; therefore we His servants will arise and build, but you have no heritage or right or memorial in Jerusalem"” (V. 20) NKJV

Discouragement is a disease that easily destroys people's strength on the way to their achievement. This often comes when we are not focused enough. The devil then uses people to discourage us. He could use negative or bad comments to discourage us. That is the reason we must learn to live above discouragement. The goal of discouragement is to stop us from running the race of our destiny on earth. Looking at what happened to Nehemiah in our scripture today, he was living above discouragement. God has given him the burden of a work, and he has received direction and understanding of how to go about it, but the enemy used Samballat and Tobiah to mock the work.

You must be careful of listening to or getting moved by the comments of people. They will completely destabilize you. You need to know that people are free to use their mouths as they like, but you have to choose if their words or the word of God determine your destiny.

Anything could happen to anyone, but you know that God will not discourage you. They may mock you, but you should know where you are going Nehemiah said, “The God of heaven will prosper us”. You too depend on God. He is enough for you. Keep your goal and vision in focus. Look also unto Jesus. Your end will be colourful. Your enemies will come to celebrate with you. Let them write you off now, God has enlisted you for lifting. You will shine, and you will win. Say it to yourself, God shall prosper me.

PRAYER: LORD, DESTROY WHAT DESTROYS YOUR STRENGTH IN ME.

“THE WORD OF GOD IS THE TRUTH AND WILL STAND AT LAST”
