DON'T HATE

DON’T HATE Matthew 5:43-48  Devotional:- “But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,” (V. 44) NKJV The subject of love is not always easy to practise between you, and those who have shown themselves as committed enemies. Those who will openly stand against you. Those who just hate you for no reason. Those who don’t pray that anything good should happen to you. Yet the Bible gave us a commandment in the midst of it all to love and never to hate them. What a great task! But until a Christian grows to this level, he cannot actually be called mature. The way to handle it is that we should bless those who curse us. Always do good to those who hate you. If they are moved by the spirit in them to do evil to you, be moved by the Spirit in you to love them. We cannot truly say we love till we can prayerfully demonstrate the character of love. FEED ON THE WORD

FEED ON THE WORD

Joshua 1:6-9
Devotional:- “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success” (V. 8) NKJV

Man often makes the mistake of building his body but not his soul. Since man is not the body but the spirit, he that does not build his soul is weak though he is building his body.  To build your soul, you need to feed it with the word of God (James 1:21). Jesus said, “The words I speak to you are spirit and life”. In other words; it carries a spirit that will turn your life to what it should be. Information brings reformation. Information is the vehicle of the spirit.

Meditation is the act of ruminating over information you have received. This is thinking deeply into the word of God, and then, the spirit of the word is released into your soul for edification. As you daily do this, you grow in the Holy Spirit. Jesus said man shall not live by bread alone but by every word of God (Luke 4:4). Take adventure into the rich word of God today and you will become stronger for your rising in life. Peace!

PRAYER: LORD, LET THERE BE AN INCREASE OF THIRST FOR YOUR WORD IN MY HEART.

“THE STRENGTH OF GOD IS IN HIS WORD; IT TAKES MEDITATION TO RECEIVE IT.”
