ASK Matthew 7:7-12  Devotional:- “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” (V.11) NKJV For us to be able to enjoy the love of God as believers, we must begin to ask God for our needs. It is the principle of God that you will only have what you ask (Matthew 7:7). If you don’t speak out to ask, you may not be given. This was the problem of the senior brother of the prodigal son (Luke 15:29-32). Everything is for Him, but he had never asked for any. But the younger brother knew how to ask You must also learn how to ask. This is because you will only enjoy what you asked for. We therefore need to learn how to ask. The word ‘ask’ is not the same as beg or loan. The word asks suggests confidence and courage. It means to demand for what you are due for. It means to ask for your rights and your entitlements in God (Galatians 3:13-14). The bible is a book of covenant ...

DON’T AVENGE

DON’T AVENGE

I Samuel 26:7-21
Devotional:- “The LORD forbid that I should stretch out my hand against the LORD's anointed. But please, take now the spear and the jug of water that are by his head, and let us go" (V11) NKJV

Every man who is offended always wants to avenge. That is what the canal nature teaches us, but the word of God teaches us not to avenge ourselves (Romans 12:19).

There is a difference between claiming your rights and avenging yourself. To claim your right is to stand strong to gain what is yours, this is biblical. But to avenge means to repay someone for an offense committed against you. This is wrong! It is the tricks of the enemy to make you keep throwing your thoughts and strength backward. It is a way of sapping your strength by making you reflect on the weight of the offense of the past.

Saul the king was out in all his strength waiting to destroy the young David. The strongest army of Israel was employed in the battles just because of a boy. But David decided never to avenge himself and the wicked Saul killed himself. Friend, why don’t you let go and let God? Stop expending your energy on things of the past. Live all for God; He will take care of it all. But don’t let such things destroy your focus on your glory. At last, Saul died and David reigned. You are the one to reign, be wise. Peace!

PEACE: LORD, DELIVER ME FROM THE SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE.
