THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. God is starting a brand-new thing with you. He is giving you new experiences of success and breakthrough. You need to lea...

REFUSE DOUBT

REFUSE DOUBT

2 Kings 7:1-11
Devotional:- “So an officer on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God and said, "Look, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, could this thing be?" And he said, "In fact, you shall see it with your eyes, but you shall not eat of it” (V.2) NKJV

Doubt is one of the enemies we need to learn how to fight and overcome. It is an enemy of our faith for victory and success. A doubter is someone who allows the natural view of life to supersede the supernatural in his mind. He accepts the facts of life to be more real than the truth of the word of God. People become doubtful when they feel disappointed by their faith in God. Even though God cannot fail, because of our impatience and ignorance we sometimes conclude that God has failed us. This automatically develops doubt in our minds. Please know that our impatience cannot make God do things at odd times. He walks with time. That is why our faith should be with patience (Hebrews 6:12).

The scripture we read today teaches us the evil of doubting. Though the man on whose hand the king leaned was high in status but was low in faith. He doubted the word of God and could only see but never taste the blessing. Doubt terminated his life untimely.

Since God will always answer us according to our faith, doubters may not see God’s word fulfilled, so, shun doubt. The enemy only wants to have your attention shifted to him. To overcome doubt, renew your love for God and His purpose. Be willing to wait and see God’s words coming to pass in your life (Job 14:14). Doubters will always receive nothing. There is so much awaiting you this year. Don’t let doubt terminate it. Decide to wait and God will bring you to glory (Psalm 27:14).

PRAYER: LORD, DESTROY THE ROOT OF DOUBT IN MY LIFE.
