HE NEVER REJECTS YOU

HE NEVER REJECTS YOU John 6:24-40  Devotional:- “All whom My Father gives (entrusts) to Me will come to Me; and the one who comes to Me I will most certainly not cast out [I will never, no never, reject one of them who comes to Me]” (V 37) AMPC Sometimes we imagine God in our mind with the understanding and the likeness of men. We view Him as someone we have to really beg to ever experience His favour or help. The truth is that there are several reasons responsible for this. One of them is that man, by his nature, could reject a fellow man. So when we think of coming to God or returning to Him, we feel in our mind that we are too bad to be accepted. We need to understand that our feelings about God cannot be the best way to describe Him, like His word. Even though we feel like that, yet, the word of God, which is the truth, says, whoever comes to Him, He will never reject. He is never interested in the death of a sinner but that he repents and be saved (Ezekiel 18:23). This is part...

REFUSE DEPRESSION

REFUSE DEPRESSION

I Samuel 16:19-23
Devotional:- “After that, whenever the bad depression from God tormented Saul, David got out his harp and played. That would calm Saul down, and he would feel better as the moodiness lifted.” (V.23) MSG

Due to the numerous challenges facing people in the world today, many are always depressed. This often happens to people when all their expectations have been defeated. This is because men refuse to acknowledge God in their understanding and try to make it by themselves. Jesus says without Him we can do nothing (John 15:5).

To be depressed is to be pressed down by prevailing circumstances. It is to be pulled down into self-imposed defeat due to unfulfilled expectations. It is to feel miserable and dejected. It is to be made sad or to be low in spirit. During such time, such a person will not be able to think well or make good decisions. He could even feel he doesn’t want to see anyone. Those things he loves to do will no longer appeal to him, and he could be feeling the world should even end. Such spirit was tormenting Saul the king but David was invited to sing and play the harp in praise of God in his presence. That will automatically bring God’s presence and fullness of joy will be the answer (Psalm 16:11).

Depression is therefore a product of ingratitude, worry, and sorrow. Anytime you feel heavy this way, seek to be in the gathering children of God where God’s presence will be vivid by true worship (Psalm 23:3). Where God’s servant will speak about God’s counsel, then His peace shall be returned to your heart. Hope will come again and your life will experience new joy and victory.

PRAYER: LORD, RESTORE YOUR FULL JOY INTO MY HEART.

“DEPRESSION IS THE FORERUNNER OF EVIL DEEDS, KILL IT BEFORE IT KILLS YOU”
