But for growing children of God. Prayer is not just making a demand. It is also creating time to be with our father. Much more than our request, God wants us around Him. He wants us always to speak and commune with Him.   Observing the scripture, you will discover prayer has been the habit of all men of God, including Jesus Christ (Luke 6:12). Jesus spent many of his nights praying and the days working. And when He was teaching the disciples, He said, “Pray lest you fall into temptatio...

FEAR NOT

FEAR NOT

I Samuel 17:2-11
Devotional:- “When Saul and all Israel heard these words of the Philistine, they were dismayed and greatly afraid” (V. 11) NKJV

Fear is one of the things that destroys strength in a believer’s life. No wonder God says it in 365 times in His word: “Fear not”. It is often said that what man fears is what will eventually happen to him (Job 3:25). We usually become afraid when we are intimidated by situations. Tins happen when we feel we cannot win the forces against us (Numbers 13:33).

In our scripture today, we saw how fear crippled the great, strong, and vibrant army of Israel. For many days they went into hiding unable to fight the battle they had set in array to fight. The voice of the enemy kept intimidating them. They could not see themselves as able to confront Goliath.

Beloved, do not allow the spirit of fear to torment you (1 John 4:18). Fear is a wicked spirit. God has not given you the spirit of fear but the spirit of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). That suggests to you that fear is not of God. Always remember that the great I am is in you (1 John 4:4). So, don’t ever allow fear around you anymore. Whenever you allow fear, weakness will just overwhelm you and all your strength and courage will fly away. Always confront your fears with the word of faith and you will win. Remember what the word of God says about your situation. Remember the power in the name of Jesus (Philippians 2:9-10). David did not allow fear; he went against Goliath with faith in the word of God and he won. You will win in Jesus name

DECLARATION: THE LORD IS WITH ME, I WILL NOT FEAR.
