THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. GETTING JOB

GETTING JOB

Ecclesiastes 9:10-12
Devotional:- “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going” (V10) NKJV

The economic situation in many countries has caused many people to become jobless. Statistics show that a good percentage of people are without a job, especially in this part of the world. This has led many families into a financial mess and has caused an increase in crime. You as a child of God must not remain a victim of joblessness. Sometimes we make our certificate a barrier to ourselves from getting jobs or creating jobs. Many people are higher than the jobs available. But you should know that it is a sin not to be working and yet be eating. (2 Thessalonians 3:10). As much as there are jobs and advertisements of vacancies, as many are jobless people.

There is a need to know that there are two types of jobs. The ones we are looking for, and the ones that are looking for us. It will be wise to first get the ones looking for us while looking for the one we want, instead of being completely jobless. We are looking for a job that will offer us a sufficient income but the jobs that are looking for us are not with big income. They are jobs that people despise doing, an example is teaching and some other creative jobs which could make you employ people instead of being employed. When you can look for a problem to solve in your community to offer value. then, you are creating a job.

Before this year is over, God will open many doors of jobs for you. You will soon be selecting them. You are not created to be jobless but to create jobs. Lay hands on the little things around you and God will make it great.

PRAYER: LORD, TURN ME TO AN EMPLOYER THIS YEAR.

“IT IS BETTER TO BE AN EMPLOYER THAN TO BE EMPLOYED”
