HE NEVER REJECTS YOU

HE NEVER REJECTS YOU John 6:24-40  Devotional:- “All whom My Father gives (entrusts) to Me will come to Me; and the one who comes to Me I will most certainly not cast out [I will never, no never, reject one of them who comes to Me]” (V 37) AMPC Sometimes we imagine God in our mind with the understanding and the likeness of men. We view Him as someone we have to really beg to ever experience His favour or help. The truth is that there are several reasons responsible for this. One of them is that man, by his nature, could reject a fellow man. So when we think of coming to God or returning to Him, we feel in our mind that we are too bad to be accepted. We need to understand that our feelings about God cannot be the best way to describe Him, like His word. Even though we feel like that, yet, the word of God, which is the truth, says, whoever comes to Him, He will never reject. He is never interested in the death of a sinner but that he repents and be saved (Ezekiel 18:23). This is part...

AVOID FALLING

AVOID FALLING

2 Samuel 11:1-5
Devotional:- “Then it happened one evening that David arose from his bed and walked on the roof of the king's house. And from the roof he saw a woman bathing, and the woman was very beautiful to behold” (V. 2) NKJV

All of us must have this registered in our mind that the enemy is not only aiming to attack us but to also bring us down totally. What does it mean to fall? It is to be pushed or lured into sin. The devil is always looking for a way to make a man that is standing to fall. He is much after the leaders especially. He is aiming to destroy their testimonies and stain their glorious garments. God’s word says he came to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). We don’t need to be afraid of this but be watchful.

In this pathetic story, David a man God so much cherished, loved, and held in high esteem fell. Why? You could observe that he was idle. While others had gone to war, he was relaxing at home doing nothing (Amos 6:1). An idle hand is always the devil’s workshop. Idleness makes you see what you are not supposed to see and gets you involved in what does not concern you. Many have thereby implicated themselves. You can always turn back no matter how far you have committed yourself to wrong thing. However, the power to say “No” is already in you. An attempt to cover up will be disastrous. Since David committed the sinned adultery, his attempt to cover up led him to commit more errors.

Friend, enough is enough. You need to put a stop to those wrong steps if it will not put a stop to your life. Sin kills. Learn to control yourself in every situation. Be mindful of what you are watching and hearing. When wrong things are shown on your screen, take the responsibility to turn off the station. Discipline your heart and your eyes even in the office. Be content with what you have. Grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence. It is all deceit. Don’t enjoy a little sin to damage your heart and peace. The shame of falling is not easily erased. Why don’t you avoid it, and stand strong? May you receive the grace

PRAYER: LORD, UPHOLD ME BY THE POWER OF YOUR SPIRIT.
