THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. SELF-FORGIVENESS

SELF-FORGIVENESS

I John 1:5-10
Devotional:- “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (V. 9) NKJV

To many people, one of the hardest things in their life is to forgive themselves. Do you know that it could even be easier for them to forgive others? Many people have destroyed themselves because they can’t forgive themselves. This trick has been highly used by the devil to steal many things in the life of people.

We need to know that one of those things God find so easy to do is to forgive. He is not like us. When He forgives, He forgets and that is all because He is Love personified. Any thought contrary to this in your heart is nothing but the lie of the devil. We often find it difficult to forgive ourselves because of our weaknesses. We simply look at what we have done as too much to be forgiven and become condemned in our hearts (Romans 8:1).

Stop weighing your sins before the Lord; there is no small or great sin. Sin is equal to sin before Him. God forgives all men with the same mercy. Listen, it is the trick of the devil to tie down your life. The devil Is a liar, stop listening to him (John 8:44) .

God’s word says, if we confess our sins, He will forgive us and cleanse us. Do you know that from the first time you confess that sin to God, He has forgiven you? He is surprised when you bring it to Him again. God wants you to be free and fulfilled. No matter how great those sins are to you, you are forgiven already if you have confess them and repent. Please know that all your sins of the past have been nailed to the cross and taking out of your way (Colossians 2:14). Stop listening to the lie of the devil. You are too precious in the hands of God.

PRAYER: LORD, GRANT ME GRACE TO FORGIVE MYSELF.

“EVEN THE PRODIGAL SON WAS FORGIVEN, HOW MUCH MORE YOU THE BELOVED OF GOD”
