CHOICE OF JOY Acts 16:20-30 Devotional:- “But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.” (V.25) NKJV So many people in this world have not woken up to the fact that the way they live is their choice. One of the greatest errors is to think that the situation a man finds himself, is the determining factor of his life. This is not true. Please come to an awareness of this truth from now on: that you are living as you have chosen to live. Get to know that you are a creature of choice. Whatever your choice is, that is your lot. God chooses no evil for anyone in life (Jeremiah 29:11). Whether you are happy or not, whether you are rich or not, whether you are healthy or not, it is your choice; if you decide otherwise from now and stand by your decision, things will change for you. SWORD OF THE SPIRIT

Hebrew 4:6-13
Devotional:- “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart” (V. 12) NKJV

    A sword is an important weapon of battle. It is a major weapon your enemies see and get scared, know that with it, you can kill and overcome. A sword is too delicate to play with. So those who go to war know that it is important. It will therefore be dangerous as a Christian that you live your life in this world of battles without a sword.

The bible says; the word of God is the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17). Don’t forget we are not fighting with flesh and blood. So, we are not talking about a physical sword (1 Corinthians 10:4). Through it, you can put your enemy out of your way. This is by taking it as you take the sword. When a warrior takes the sword, he swings it to kill the enemy. So also, as a Christian when you take the word of God, you are saying it should act like a sword to all that is against you. Nothing can escape it. (Joel 2:3).

You therefore need to start to see God’s word as the bible says it is. If it is released through your mouth by faith your enemy is in trouble. Start to use this weapon from now and your victory shall be established. Peace!

PRAYER: LORD, HELP ME TO ALWAYS PUT YOUR WORD IN MY MOUTH.

“SWORD HAVE NO MERCY”.

The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
