DON'T HATE

DON’T HATE Matthew 5:43-48  Devotional:- “But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,” (V. 44) NKJV The subject of love is not always easy to practise between you, and those who have shown themselves as committed enemies. Those who will openly stand against you. Those who just hate you for no reason. Those who don’t pray that anything good should happen to you. Yet the Bible gave us a commandment in the midst of it all to love and never to hate them. What a great task! But until a Christian grows to this level, he cannot actually be called mature. The way to handle it is that we should bless those who curse us. Always do good to those who hate you. If they are moved by the spirit in them to do evil to you, be moved by the Spirit in you to love them. We cannot truly say we love till we can prayerfully demonstrate the character of love. In your time, consciously me...

FULL OF GRACE

FULL OF GRACE

2 Samuel 9:1-10 NKJV
Now David said, “Is there still anyone who is left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan’s sake?” (V 1)

Men don’t believe in showing kindness towards someone who has offended   them. We look at them as a bad person and believe nothing good should happen to them. Most people believe the wicked should be paid back in their own coin. This therefore makes us hate those who hate us and love people who loves us. But Jesus said, this does not make us different from the people of the world. It is true that the wicked should be paid with wickedness but not through you. Leave vengeance to God. It is better when they are rewarded by God for everyone will see their shame and great falling. So, leave vengeance for God. We are to show them mercy and grace all the time.

Saul was an open enemy of David. He sought to kill him with all he has, until he killed himself. But David knows that not by Power or by might that he was granted victory. So, he knew he should be gracious to Saul’s family for the sake of Jonathan his friend. That is the reason he looked out for anyone in his family that he may show kindness to them. This shows him a wise winner indeed.

If you see a relation of those who are against you, don’t hesitate to help them. If there is anything within your power to do to assist them, do it. And God will be happy with you. This proves you more matured. You overcome evil with good. Pray for them and let God be happy with you. And you shall be blessed.

Prayer: Lord, help to always overlook offences and help everyone

“WHEN YOU LET GOD FIGHT FOR YOU, YOU ENJOY YOUR PEACE”.
