ACKNOWLEDGING HIM

ACKNOWLEDGING HIM Proverbs 3:1-8  Devotional:- “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths” (v.6) KJV. To be able to enjoy God’s loving kindness, all of us must learn to always acknowledge God in all our decision-making. This simply means that we recognise Him as our owner and the one who is qualified to instruct us on where to turn. When we gave our lives to Christ, we all confessed Jesus as our Lord. This means we acknowledge Him as the one who has the final decision over our lives. But we often forget to carry Him along in making decisions that will, in the end, have a great adverse effect on our lives. If we are to enjoy the love and the goodness of the Lord, we must learn to acknowledge Him. And this is by patiently asking Him for His instructions for us. The truth is that He will always guide us. He said, “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye” (Psalms 32:8). The truth is that you are gu...

STRONG MEN

STRONG MEN

Joshua 14:10-15
Devotional:- As yet I am as strong this day as on the day that Moses sent me; just as my strength was then, so now is my strength for war, both for going out and for coming in. (V 11)

Victory in life is not for the weak but for the strong. This does not mean we have to start body-building to overcome in life. But we need to have the wisdom that gives birth to strength. If you notice any man who always over-power others, what it takes is only strength through wisdom. Weak people have no portion here on earth. Some are just thirty-two years, and are living as somebody of over ninety-five years old.

Caleb was a strong man and we see this all through his life. He was one of the twelve that was sent by Moses to spy the land of Canaan in Numbers 13 and 14. Ten of the spies came back with negative report, but Caleb and Joshua came with a good one – the Godly and goodly kind of report. This is because of their knowledge of God. they knew He is a great God that cannot fail. This same Caleb is saying in our scripture here today, that he could still go to war at eighty. Not requesting for battle on a plain ground but at the mountain top.

If you too want to be strong all the days of your life, then learn these two secrets of Caleb. The first is that He knew God. He was a man of knowledge (Daniel 11:32). He was also living in the wisdom of God (Proverb 24:5). God is the giver of strength (Isaiah 40:29). Seek to know Him and he will supply you. Don’t die in weakness, Seek to know and believe in Him. It is knowledge that make strong. Ignorant create doubt and fear. Refuse to be defeated by the troubles of this world. If any will will live in sickness or the affliction of life, its not you. If any will live frustrated in failure its not you. Give yourself to seeking knowledge and you will be made strong.

Prayer: Lord, the great I am is in me, I will not be defeated or frustrated

‘‘STRENGTH IN LIFE IS A FUNCTION OF KNOWLEDGE’’
