DON'T HATE

DON’T HATE Matthew 5:43-48  Devotional:- “But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,” (V. 44) NKJV The subject of love is not always easy to practise between you, and those who have shown themselves as committed enemies. Those who will openly stand against you. Those who just hate you for no reason. Those who don’t pray that anything good should happen to you. Yet the Bible gave us a commandment in the midst of it all to love and never to hate them. What a great task! But until a Christian grows to this level, he cannot actually be called mature. The way to handle it is that we should bless those who curse us. Always do good to those who hate you. If they are moved by the spirit in them to do evil to you, be moved by the Spirit in you to love them. We cannot truly say we love till we can prayerfully demonstrate the character of love. In your time, consciously me...

FELLOWSHIP

FELLOWSHIP

Hebrews 10:19-25
Devotional:- “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching” (V. 25)

Most people always want to have one excuse or the other to absent themselves from the fellowship of children of God. Some prefer to be watching TV programmes rather than being in a service. Some easily stay at home because they have a friend who came to visit them on a Sunday morning. Most of the so-called Christians don't attend fellowship during the week for one flimsy reason or the other. They have underrated the services. So they become Sunday, Sunday Christians.

Little did they know that it is the trick of the devil to attract and to start ruling over them. Any time a lion is pursuing a group of animals in the bush, the moment one of them branches or turn to another side, it leaves the rest and pursue that one. The lion knows that since it is alone, the animal will soon be tired and be easy to catch.

This is the trick that the enemy is using for unserious Christians. Who look for excuses to stay away from fellowship. The word fellowship is from two words fellow-sheep" that is group of sheep. We are sheep of Christ (Psalm 100:3). The moment a sheep separates itself from the flocks, it could be harmed. It opens itself to the attack of the devil.

But there is power in fellowship. There is power in running together. You will find it difficult to get tired or be wearied easily. And together our battle can be easily won. In isolation, man may fall and it may be difficult rising (Eccl. 4: 9-10). It is in fellowship God's power is stronger with us. Be wise. You will not fall.

Prayer: Lord, help me to be committed to the fellowship of the church

"IT IS IN TOGETHERNESS WE ARE MADE STRONG".
