TRANSFORMED BY TROUBLE

TRANSFORMED BY TROUBLE 2 Corinthians 4:7-18 Devotional:- “For our present troubles are small and won't last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!” (V. 17) NLT  God has a purpose behind every problem. God depends more on circumstances to grow our character than reading the Bible; this is because we have challenging circumstances twenty four seven. The word of God made us to see challenges in our life as normal (1 Peter 4:18). Your deepest expression of worship is mostly in the darkest days. It is during suffering that we learn to pray our most authentic, heart-felt and honest prayers to God (James 5:16). God would have kept Jeremiah from the throne to the pit, Joseph from been thrown into the jail, Paul from been shipwrecked or the three Hebrew from been thrown into the fire but he left those problems to himself. You will never know that God is all you need until God is all you have.  Everything that happens to you has spir...

WATER OF LIFE

WATER OF LIFE

John 7:37-44 NKJV
On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. (V 37)

It is true that the days of men are filled with many Challenges. But do you know God has also provided wonderful grace and strength for us to face them? One of them is what I call the water of life – “The Holy Spirit”. Jesus was not making mistakes to present the Holy Spirit as the water of life. He was only symbolising the Holy spirit by the way He works. That is, as water but now a living water that gives life. If we quickly look into some characteristics of water. One of them is drinking. We drink it to quench our thirst. And Jesus said we can drink of this water of life so that rivers of living water may flow out of us.

Friend, do you know that Jesus was introducing the source of great power to us here, that when we drink out of the water, rivers of water can flow out of us?

That when we are to face a battle of life and we look not strong enough; just look for a corner and drink and you will be strong, confident and bold. And what will come out of you will be powerful. This is the secret of Peter’s boldness on the day of Pentecost and the lifestyle of the disciples Act 4:31.

The water is the Holy Spirit. Drinking it is praying in the Spirit or tongues (Jude 1:20). You are also drinking whenever you are meditating in the word of God (John 6:63). Are you to face any examination, interview or you are to face a panel, then look for a corner and first drink of the water. You will be surprise of the result of your performance. This is how God expect all believer to live out His life and He live through us in all situation in this world. This makes you and God to start to work together in all you do (Mark 16:20). This is our weapon of victory.

Prayer: Lord, help me to always drink of the water of life daily

“TAKING OF THE WATER OF LIFE IS PARTAKING OF DIVINITY”.
