DON'T HATE

DON’T HATE Matthew 5:43-48  Devotional:- “But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,” (V. 44) NKJV The subject of love is not always easy to practise between you, and those who have shown themselves as committed enemies. Those who will openly stand against you. Those who just hate you for no reason. Those who don’t pray that anything good should happen to you. Yet the Bible gave us a commandment in the midst of it all to love and never to hate them. What a great task! But until a Christian grows to this level, he cannot actually be called mature. The way to handle it is that we should bless those who curse us. Always do good to those who hate you. If they are moved by the spirit in them to do evil to you, be moved by the Spirit in you to love them. We cannot truly say we love till we can prayerfully demonstrate the character of love. In your time, consciously me...

BEEN PRAYERFUL

BEEN PRAYERFUL

Acts 4:24-33 NKJV
And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness (V 31)

Most things that are beneficial to our lives are not always pleasant to us; simply because the enemy wants us to fall and fail. So he made us hate anything that will give us strength. I am sure that you will observe this in most cases we always enjoy things that will build our physical body rather than things that will build our spirit. We need to understand that it is all together the trick of the devil to make us neglect God and make us think that we can always go on without Him.

Many Christians today now despise prayer. They call it old time religious practice. Many of us are even tempted to think that you only need to keep applying wisdom and you may never need to pray. You will get to a point in life only to realise that without God’s wisdom in prayer will be equal to foolishness.

Actually, we should be careful of making religion out of prayer. But we need to understand that prayer is fellowshipping with God and also a spiritual warfare. It is in prayer we speak our minds to God. It is also in prayer we hear from God (Jeremiah 33:3). This is because our battle in life is not against flesh and blood (Ephesians 6:10-12).

A prayer-less Christian is a power-less Christian. It is in the course of prayer that God’s grace and Virtues are released. In the remaining part of this year, be prayerful. Except you pray, some blessing will not open up to you. No child of God has achieved anything great and durable in life without effective prayer life.

Prayer: Lord, baptise me with the Spirit of grace and supplication

“PRAYER IS THE ACT OF CONNECTING TO THE POWER SOURCE OF GOD”.
