THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. God is starting a brand-new thing with you. He is giving you new experiences of success and breakthrough. You need to lea...

MEN OF THE WORD

MEN OF THE WORD

Colossians 3:12–17
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. (V. 16)

The word of God is our sword of the spirit (Ephesian 6:17). The word is our sure word of Prophesy (2 Peter 1:19). It is the truth, that is, the law that rules heavens and earth. The word is the covenant and the eternal promise of God. It has been finding fulfilment since ages past and it shall continue to find fulfilment as we put total trust in God and we wait on Him.

The Scripture says, seek, and you shall find, ask, and you shall be given, knock and the door shall be open unto you. Children of God seek and ask and knock, all these shall be released unto you through the word which is God Himself (John 1:1). The word of God is the bases for our faith. Faith in God is faith in the word. It is the foundation for our rest and our peace in God. That means, it is on the word we stand and have hope in. It is the creative force of God. This creative force is also in us whenever we speak the word of God (Genesis 1:2-3).

The word is therefore strongly important in the life of every victorious child of God. The Word is God Himself (John 1:1). The word is Spirit and Life (John 6:63). The word gives life and strength to the mind which enhances our victory (Psalm 119:97-100).

If you will be a victor, the word must dwell in you richly, then you have a solid base for overcoming in all situations.

Prayer: Lord, help me to store your word in my heart for my victory.
