  GOOD SPOUSE 1 Corinthians 7:1-5 Devotional:- “Let the husband render to his wife the affection due her, and likewise also the wife to her husband” (v.3) NKJV One of the greatest places where God expects love to be demonstrated is in the family, and most strongly between the husband and wife. It is a pity that this generation does not have many spouses enjoying true love in their relationships. Many have turned the home into a children-producing factory, and there is nothing strong that ties them together. And today, men can no longer understand the purpose of God for instituting marriage. The scripture we read today gives us some great instruction for our distinction in this world of destruction. God’s word says, "Each should render to one another due affection." Affection is love. God expects you to love each other (1 John 4:7). It is as you love each other that the atmosphere is created for God to mend and amend things in the house. Understand that the word 'love'...

NEVER BE PROUD

James 4:1-10 NKJV
But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” (V 6)

    Pride is a sign of selfishness, ego and foolish thought. It is a sign of unbrokenness and rebellion. Pride is simply the display of emptiness. It is only a man who has nothing that tries to prove that he is something. Pride is simply a sign of proving that you don’t need God or that you are more than God.

God treats the proud in a terrible way. No proud person can win in the race of life. Eventually he is going to destroy himself. The moment a man is proud, God will remove his grace from his life. Watch him, falling is close to him, because it takes the grace of God for us to be victorious over the devil in this world.

God’s word says, whoever exalts himself shall be abased (Mark 23:12). That means he shall be made to fall so that he can learn (Proverbs 16:18). When you humble yourself, it makes you enjoy more of His grace. You will also discover that you are performing better when you are humble.

No one can stand to overcome the devil without the backing of God. If you therefore, desire to be an overcomer you cannot stand to be proud. Submit yourself to God, then, you have grace to stand against the enemy and overcome. If you can humble yourself then you are on God’s list of the lifted. Wherever you are today and whatever you have today is small compare to your future in God. Humble yourself that your future will not be destroyed.

Prayer: Lord, deliver me from the spirit of pride

“THERE IS NO LIMIT TO THE LIFTING OF THE HUMBLE’

The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
