HOW REAL SERVANTS ACT

HOW REAL SERVANTS ACT Mark 10:35-45 Devotional:- “Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant” (V. 43).   The world defines greatness in terms of power, possessions, prestige and position but God determined your greatness by how many people you serve. This is quite contrary to the world view. Jesus called Himself servant and to be like Him is to be a servant. That is why it is so important to have a servant’s heart. God often test our heart by asking us to serve even outside our shape or area of interest. Your priority area of service should be in your area of shape, but God could demand for your service wherever needed. Looking at how a servant act is important because one could serve in a church for years and not be a real servant. Real servants make themselves available to serve. If you only serve when it is convenient, then you are not a good servant (2 Timothy 2:4). Real servants pay attention to needs, always lo...

MEN OF FAITH

MEN OF FAITH

Hebrews 11:30-35
Devotional:-“Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises stopped the mouth of lions’’. (V. 33)

Faith is an essential weapon in the hand of those that will be referred to as victors. Our scripture today shows us the catalogue of men of faith who were victorious through faith. People who did extraordinary things on this planet earth, who fought battle and won. People who took their lives in their hands and yet never died. People who faced terrible situations and yet never defeated. We actually have much to learn of them.

The main and very common thing to these great people is faith. Faith is believing the word of God and acting on it accordingly. It is not bold-face but accepting God's word as true and taking steps by the instruction received from it. It is taking the word as it is and basing your life on it. It is only men of faith that can enjoy or receive anything from God (Hebrews 11:6).

Faith is a great virtue that all children of God must possess. God's word says "the just shall live by faith" (Romans 1:17). Whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that overcome the world our faith" (1 John 5:4).

The opposite of faith is doubt and fear. All this will not allow you to enjoy God in any form (James 1:6-8). Being afraid of your situation will only make you a victim (Job 3:25). Whatever He says, just believe it and continue to confess it. How or when He is going to do it is not your problem. He is committed to His word, and He said it will not pass away (Mark 13:31). Be ready to die rather than doubting God's word and you shall live to see it fulfilled. Doubt comes from experiences and situations but faith comes by the word (Romans 10:17). Tap into it from now for your daily victory. Peace.

Prayer: Lord, help me to build up in the faith of your word for my victory

"A MAN OF FAITH IS AN ESTABLISHED VICTOR".
