LOOKING UNTO HIM

LOOKING UNTO HIM Psalms 34:1-7 Devotional:- “They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces were not ashamed” (V. 5) NKJV To enjoy the love of God for us, we must learn to keep looking unto Him. The scripture says, they looked unto him and were not ashamed. No one trusts in Him who will be ashamed at the end. It is amazing that Joseph, whom they sold as a slave, eventually became a ruler. Because that is God’s plan for Him (Genesis 45:1-9). Amazingly, Abraham, who had no children for almost a hundred years, at last became the father of eight children before he died (Genesis 25:1-2, 9). These are proofs of God’s faithfulness. Because He also has a plan for each of us, He does not want us to be discouraged or frustrated, but rather to keep looking unto Him. This is because He has a plan for us, and it shall surely come to pass. That is why He said, "I know the plans that I have for you; they are not of evil, but good, to give you a hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11). H...

NEVER LOOK BACK

NEVER LOOK BACK

Luke 9:57-62
"But Jesus said to him, No one, having put hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God" (V. 62)

Indecision is one of the characteristics of failure and can result to double defeat. So, a single focus is Important for anyone that will succeed. Every one that will enjoy the kingdom grace must be determined to follow, not withstanding. Most people that are found in the church today have not really come to a point of conclusion whether to follow the Lord or not to follow the Lord. Many are only attracted by bread and cake. Such people want to follow Him only when He is good to them. They will love Him as much as it is rosy and the going is well. One of their legs are inside and the other outside. Any little thing could make them tum back from following Him.

Though there is no time that God is not good to us, but God is always interested in building and training us for the challenges of the future. Most of such times look odd to us. And it looks as if God has deserted us. No matter how we see Him, He is always Good (Psalm 100:5). There are just two basic experiences in life: peace and trouble and God is the giver of peace. You are to decide what to enjoy. lf you are going to be a victor in the strength of God then you have got to take the decision to follow Him notwithstanding. Storms will come, wind will blow, but never allow your faith to be shaken.

Don't forget He is always with you (Isaiah 43:2, Roman 8:31). And that is why no situation can swallow you. Make the decision today and God will uphold you by His right hand (Isaiah 41:10).

Prayer: Lord, help me to keep my focus on you alone
