JOY

JOY John 16:16-24  Devotional:- “Most assuredly, I say to you that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; and you will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.” (V. 20) NKJV God’s word says when sorrow endures till a night, joy comes in the morning (Psalms 30:5). This is an assurance and evidence that what is called sorrow is not a permanent situation in the life of a child of God. This is because it is certain that when a night comes, morning is always the next. The night is evidence of the coming morning. This is evidence that what you are going through right now will soon result in joy. In fact, the tougher it is, the closer the joy. May you see it. The scripture we read today gave us a new dimension of hope in our lives. Jesus said, our sorrow shall turn to joy. That which we think is a thing of sorrow shall suddenly become a thing of joy. Jesus likens it to a woman who is in labour. Women in this state often feel as if the end has come. But ...

WORD WITH POWER

WORD WITH POWER

Luke 1:26-38
Devotional: -“For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment” (V. 37) (Amplified)

Understanding the power of God puts every man in command of the forces of this world. Power is said to be an ability to carry out a task. This means, that the word of God has the ability to be fulfilled. The word of God is Powerful (Ecclesiastic 8:4). This means, it is backed up with forces that enforces it or carries it out.

The word of God says, there shall be no word from God that will lack Power. In other words, every word of God is backed up by the forces of God. The forces of God are called the host of God (2 Chronicles 18:18). These forces of God are the angels of God who are always on alert to carry out the words of God (Psalms 103:20). The Bible says they excel in strength. In other words, they are created with excelling strength. The purpose of their creation is to carry out the word of God.

This is the reason you must learn to employ the word of God to overcome all the challenges confronting your life. The enemy wants you to keep thinking defeated, but you just keep thinking and speaking the word of God. Remember the forces of God will enforce what you believe and speak. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, help me to always believe and speak your word alone.

“WHEN THE WORD IS IN YOUR MOUTH, POWER IS IN YOUR MOUTH”
