DEFINE PLEASURE  Proverbs 21:12-21 Devotional:- “He who loves pleasure will be a poor man; He who loves wine and oil will not be rich.” (v. 17) NKJV 🎙 Victory Daily Devotional DEFINE PLEASURE Support Us Proverbs 21:12-21 Remi Agbabiaka Outreach Ministry (RAOM)  |  victorydaily.blogspot.com There is nothing wrong with pleasure, but there is a need to define what it means in a way that it will not bring destruction to you. Pleasure to most people means idleness, sleeping, jesting, watching T.V and all sorts of films, extravagant spending at beer parlous and hotels, eating in all the city kitchens and to some it is just travelling all around. The truth is that none of those things are real pleasure. If those things are what you call pleasures, then, no matter how much you have now, poverty and sorrow are on the way. WISDOM

WISDOM

Psalms 119:97-104
Devotional:-“You, through Your commandments, make me wiser than my enemies; For they are ever with me” (V. 98) NKJV

Wisdom is said to be the most important thing in the life of any man (Proverbs 4:7). When wisdom is lacking, a man's life will amount to little. This is because without wisdom, every other virtue will be a waste. Wisdom is the catalyst to make your gift, talents and any other privileges to gain value. Wisdom is the ability to take wise decision. Wise actions are activities that produce good and pleasant result of life.

The Bible tells us of how David was contacting wisdom for his victory and success. It is by meditation in the word of God. This is because the Holy Spirit which is the Spirit of the word of God is the Spirit of wisdom (Acts 6:10). The wisdom of the Spirit of God supersedes the wisdom of this world (1 Corinthians 2:6-7). It is the wisdom of righteousness which the wickedness of this world cannot stop. This is the reason that all attempts to stop the gospel have not worked and will never work.

Friend, for you to encounter and begin to experience divine wisdom, you must create personal time to study and meditate in the word of God daily (Psalms 1:1-3). The Spirit of the word of God transmits wisdom of the ages to humanity. So, you will be able to act better than aged people. The word of God is the bank of wisdom. Live it and it will exalt you and bring you honour (Proverbs 3:13-18). Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, give me access to your wisdom by your word.

“DIVINE WISDOM WILL ALWAYS SUPERSEDE HUMAN WISDOM”
