MEDIATING Hebrews 8:1-13 Devotional:- “But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises” (V. 6) NKJV In the Old Testament, the human priest used to stand in the gap between God and man. But because they are also human and can also sin, their priesthood was not able to actually deliver the human race. This is the ministry Jesus is carrying out on behalf of the believers since His ascension to heaven.  This ministry was taken over by Jesus because He loves us. Though He is seated on the throne but sitting closely to the Father to advocate for us. A mediator is someone who stands in the gap between the benefactor and the beneficiary. He is the one who pleads our cause to God. He is the one who intercedes for us before the Father. That is why we can be certain of our faith in God through Christ Jesus. Friend, since we know that we have Christ Jesus standing in for us, then our faith ...

A SWORD

A SWORD

Ephesians 6:13-20
Devotional: -“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God” (V. 17) NKJV

Everyone who engages in battle knows the importance of the weapon called sword. This is what stand in place of AK47 today. Sword is both defensive, but mostly offensive weapon. By it, you will protect yourself and destroy the enemy. The enemy seeing it with you, is enough to scare them because it's a deadly weapon in the hand of warrior.

The Bible calls the word of God the sword of the spirit and that is what it is. When the word of God is loaded in your heart through meditation, then it proceed out of your mouth (Matthew 12:34). Remember the word is what commands the forces of God to action (Job 22:28; Psalms 103:20). So, when a child of God is speaking or praying with the word, it becomes power through his mouth. People of darkness call this incantation.

Friend, your mouth will lack authority without the word of God. This sword of the spirit works either in your dream or in real life. The devil dare not wait for it. That is why you must let it dwell in your heart richly (Colossians 3:16). Wherever you are confronted with any challenge in life, the word will be strong enough to give you victory. God bless you. Peace!

PRAYER:  Lord, let your words ever be in my mouth

“THE STRONGER YOUR SWORD, THE BIGGER YOUR VICTORY”
