JOY

JOY John 16:16-24  Devotional:- “Most assuredly, I say to you that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; and you will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.” (V. 20) NKJV God’s word says when sorrow endures till a night, joy comes in the morning (Psalms 30:5). This is an assurance and evidence that what is called sorrow is not a permanent situation in the life of a child of God. This is because it is certain that when a night comes, morning is always the next. The night is evidence of the coming morning. This is evidence that what you are going through right now will soon result in joy. In fact, the tougher it is, the closer the joy. May you see it. The scripture we read today gave us a new dimension of hope in our lives. Jesus said, our sorrow shall turn to joy. That which we think is a thing of sorrow shall suddenly become a thing of joy. Jesus likens it to a woman who is in labour. Women in this state often feel as if the end has come. But ...

VOICE OF THE LORD

VOICE OF THE LORD

Psalms 29:1-9
Devotional: -“The voice of the Lord is powerful; The voice of the Lord is full of majesty” (V. 4) NKJV

As we look into the power of the word of God, there is a need to consider the voice of the Lord. This is not the written word. This is the spoken word of God called Rhema. The written word is Logos. The written word demands meditation to produce its power (Psalms119:97-100). But the spoken word of God is to be obeyed by faith. The voice of God is far more powerful.

The Bible talks of how powerful the word of the Lord is. It is full of majesty. The voice breaks the cedar tree, which are yokes of all kinds. The voice of the Lord makes the big cedar tree scatters like pieces of sticks. The voice of the Lord divides the flame of fire. That is, it scatters every power and ganging together of the devil (Ephesians 6:17; Isaiah 43:2). The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness. It exposes wickedness.

Whenever God speaks to you concerning a thing, just obey, because the word is powerful enough to destroy all barriers and give you victory. Whatever is the mountain or the problem, all you need is a word from the Lord. It will all be leveled. Ask Him in prayer for a word and that is enough to shatter the enemy and give you victory. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, let there be a word for my victory.

“WHENEVER YOU HAVE THE WORD OF GOD, YOU HAVE YOUR VICTORY”
