GRUMBLING

GRUMBLING I Corinthians 10:1-13 Devotional:- “nor complain, as some of them also complained, and were destroyed by the destroyer” (v.10) NKJV The act of grumbling is a means through which the enemy carefully removes the joy of many. Grumbling is a silent reaction to an instruction or a responsibility you must undertake. It is not feeling free to express one's mind about what one is satisfied with. People grumble against God about their challenges. They also grumble against their masters or bosses in the office. When the children of Israel were going through the wilderness, they were faced with several needs on their way, and each time they tried to shift blame to God, who had mercy on them and organised to put them in Canaan. When they lack water, they grumble; when it is meat, they grumble, and God sent the angel of destruction to destroy them. It is important to note that instead of grumbling under your breath or in your workplace, you should find a way to express your mind so ...

HEARING THE WORD

HEARING THE WORD

Act 10:34-46
Devotional: - “While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word” (V. 44) NKJV

The Spirit and the Power of God transmit to people when they hear the word of God. Just like meditation over the written word to drink the spirit and the power in the word, so also is hearing the word. When anyone is filled with the Spirit of God and speaks by the spirit, the power of God will be transmitted to all who open their heart to hear the word (Act 10:44).

The Bible says, as the people of God were hearing the word of God, the Holy Spirit came upon the entire hearer. This is because the Spirit of the word penetrates to the heart of the people and they could not hold themselves together. This makes them to respond to the word they heard and they were speaking with other tongue. Whenever you hear the word of God from a Spirit filled man or woman, you can always contact the Power of God (Psalms 107:20).

Friend, you need to be more open anytime you are hearing the word of God. The Holy Spirit will always help you to identify a Spirit filled person. Give your quality attention to hearing the word of God. It is when we hear the word that the Spirit of faith is built into us (Romans 10:17). It is by it courage to succeed is built into us (Joshua 1:8) and we will be able to overcome. Peace

PRAYER: Lord, give me a listening heart to receive your word
