WAITING ON THE LORD

WAITING ON THE LORD 2 Samuel 5:1-10 Devotional:- “David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years” (v.4) NKJV One of the good virtues of God we must always appreciate is His faithfulness. God is not a man that will lie; whatever He has said in His word, He is able to do and He shall do. You can always plug yourself into His promises as much as you work in His covenants. I always tell people never to think God’s word is written only to some specific persons we hear or read about in the Bible. The word of God is the standard practice and programme of God. They were only privileged to be the ones to receive the word at their time, but God is still the same, and so is His word. In claiming the word of God, you must learn to be able to patiently wait. People who will retain their joy must add this virtue to their life (Hebrews 6:12). Our scripture today told us of the installation of David as king, but that was a promise he received from God when he was about 1...

IMAGINATION

IMAGINATION

Genesis 11:1-9
Devotional:-“And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do” (V. 6) KJV

One of the wisdom to connect with the power in the word of God is the wisdom of imagination. Imagination is turning an information to pictures. This is engaging your intellect or your inner eyes to envision the word of God. Though, you are not there but you can figure out what took place by your imagination. I call it turning the scriptures to pictures.

The word of God says, what the people have been able to imagine cannot be taken from them. It means, they will surely achieve their goals. This is because God made human mind to record or capture image than words. That is why you may not remember many words spoken to you, but you cannot forget a film you watched. Beside this, whenever your mind can see images, it has penetrated into your life. That is why God always want to show us things (Jeremiah 33:3). Whenever we see, we are empowered to perform (Exodus 25:8-9; Jeremiah 1:11-12).

When you learn to employ your imagination in the course of your study, you simply connect with the spirit in that information and you are empowered by it to perform the same word (Joshua 1:8). Remember the word of God is superior. So, when you imagine it, you are empowered to overcome all other forces. Imagination employs you in the school of the prophetic and manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit. Receive grace. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, give me the grace to always imagine your words
