DON'T BLAME GOD

DON’T BLAME GOD James 1:12-20 Devotional:- “And remember, when you are being tempted, do not say, "God is tempting me." God is never tempted to do wrong, and he never tempts anyone else” (V. 13) NLT Today, there is so much confusion the enemy places in the heart of men to make them feel that God hate them. So, when people are under the pressure of the flesh to sin, they say “God is tempting me”. When people are weak, they are going to face temptation through their flesh. It wil be wrong to say God is tempting you with sickness or troubles. Yes, God knows about it but He only allows it when we have been warned repeatedly and we refuse to change. He disciplines, but it is necessary for us to know that God is not the author of evil, that is the work of the devil (Hebrews 12:6; Matthew 4:24).  There is a difference between a test and temptation. To test means to examine or observe if someone is capable of doing something. To tempt means to entice or lure someone into doing some...

THE ZEAL OF THE LORD

THE ZEAL OF THE LORD

2 Kings 19:20-34

Devotional: -“For out of Jerusalem shall go a remnant, And those who escape from Mount Zion. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this” (V. 31) NKJV

In relating with the power of the word of God, it is executed by the host of God at the command of the Lord of hosts. But the Lord of hosts is characterized with intensive power to execute the word of God. This is the zeal of the Lord of hosts. It is therefore important that you rest your faith in the word of God, for the host of the Lord will execute the word of God with zeal if you believe it and speak it by faith.

The word of God says, it is the zeal of the host of God that will carry out the word of God. This makes the word of God highly intensive in execution. This zeal is the passionate commitment of Jesus to the execution of the word of God. This makes the word so powerful and unhinderable. This is the nature of every word and the promises of God.

All that you and I need to do is to believe the word of God as it is. Knowing that great force of God is backing it up. This should help you hold on to the word of God. You should always impose it over every thought of your heart and over every word of your mouth. Let your thought and your speech always agree with the word of God. Then, the zeal of the Lord will carry it out. That is why no power can wait for it when you speak it in true faith. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, let your word become my authority.
