GREATEST FATHER John 20:11-18 “Jesus said to her, "Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, 'I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.” (V.17) NKJV   Though there is a great number of males in the world today, there are few true fathers. Men who can be referred to as good fathers are rare. This is the reason for the breeding of terrible children in today's homes. Many children don’t even know what it is to have a father. That is why when God is referred to as our father, it does not interest some of us in any form. We only look at Him as one of those absentee fathers in the world. In the scripture we read today, Jesus died and resurrected again and purchased us back to God by His blood. The first person He met after His resurrection was Mary Magdalene. He was glad to share with Mary the good news of God becoming our Father through His death. He probably would have expecte...

WAIT ON THE WORD

WAIT ON THE WORD

Psalms 27:11-14
Devotional: -Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!” (V. 14) NKJV

Everyone who wants to experience the power in the word of God must learn to wait on God for His word. This is because when the word of God comes to you, the power of God has come to you. He that has the word has the power of God. This is because His word is His power (Ecclesiastic 8:4).

The word of God says, when we wait on the Lord, we will become strengthened in our heart. To wait on the Lord is to wait on His word. This is by acknowledging Him in all your ways (Proverbs 3:5-6). This to always ask Him for His word in any given situation. “Lord what do I do?” When He gives you His words, then you have His power. This is because His word will surely be carried out. Jesus, as the Lord of hosts is committed to this (2 Kings 19:31).

Friend, you must learn to put your confidence in God’s word, knowing fully well that it will not fail. Every time you ask for the word of the Lord, the Holy Spirit wants to give you the father’s word. All you need to do is to be attentive to Him. Always wait on His word whenever you are in any situation. Then, you will have a word that will be executed as you speak it by faith. Stop speaking or acting only as you think, but as He thinks, according to His word. You will see His power. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, help me to always wait on your word for my actions.
