WAITING ON THE LORD

WAITING ON THE LORD 2 Samuel 5:1-10 Devotional:- “David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years” (v.4) NKJV One of the good virtues of God we must always appreciate is His faithfulness. God is not a man that will lie; whatever He has said in His word, He is able to do and He shall do. You can always plug yourself into His promises as much as you work in His covenants. I always tell people never to think God’s word is written only to some specific persons we hear or read about in the Bible. The word of God is the standard practice and programme of God. They were only privileged to be the ones to receive the word at their time, but God is still the same, and so is His word. In claiming the word of God, you must learn to be able to patiently wait. People who will retain their joy must add this virtue to their life (Hebrews 6:12). Our scripture today told us of the installation of David as king, but that was a promise he received from God when he was about 1...

DELIVERANCE

DELIVERANCE

John 8:31-36
Devotional:-“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free”
(V. 32) NKJV

Deliverance is the act of being set free from the hand of a stronger force. Everyone on earth must be prepared to experience deliverance at one time or the other in their lives. This is because we always mistakenly slip into the trap of the devil. The devil is always seeking who he will trap (John 10:10). That is why we are instructed to be watchful (1 Peter 5:8).

The word of God says, when we know the truth, the truth will make us free. The word “know the truth” here is talking about accessing the revelational knowledge of the scripture that set free. Whenever you meditate on the word of God, the Holy Spirit helps you gain access to understanding and the power of the word. Such revelation helps you to add up to the archive of your strength in God. It will get to a time when you have grown up so strong and you will become too strong for the devil to handle. Then you will break free.

The power in the word of God is available to liberate you. The yoke by itself will depart. Instead of running from pillar to post, sit with the word and the devil will depart. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, give me the grace to be equipped by the word for my freedom.

“THE STRONGER YOU ARE IN THE WORD, THE MORE FREE YOU WILL BE”
