HOPE Psalm 42:1-11 Devotional:- “Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God” (v.11) NKJV If any man will experience sustaining joy, he must first be hopeful. Hope is the strength of joy. Hope is the reason for the coming joy. It is an expectation according to the will of God. It is an assurance of a coming joy (Hebrews 12:2). It is also the strength of faith (Hebrews 11:1). If there is no hope, there may also not be joy, but a man of hope will continue in joy. Oftentimes, we observe the current happenings around us, and it looks like there is no hope. The truth is that current events are not the determining factor for our tomorrow. God’s word says we cannot compare the suffering of now to the glory that is coming (Romans 8:18). The truth is that no hope can be genuine till it has a sure and certain promise. This is a promise that cannot fail, and that is why our hope should be in...

KEEP OBEYING IT

KEEP OBEYING IT

Leviticus 26:3-12
Devotional: -“'If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments, and perform them” (V. 3) NKJV

Every time God wants to promise His people to perform His covenant in their life, He will always start with the word ‘if’. ‘If’ is a word of condition. That is, these promises are for those who will obey these covenant instructions. This is because; God is a covenant keeping God. In covenant, each party has their role to play. It is as you are faithfully playing your role that God can play His own role.

God promised in His word that if His people will obey His instruction, He will give rain in its season and fruits in its season. That tells you the power of obedience to the word of God. God always promise the best to those who obey Him (Isaiah 1:19). This means obedience makes us activates the power in the word of God. As powerful as the word of God is, disobedience could hinder it from working in the life of anyone (Deuteronomy 28:15).

Friend, let us ask for the grace to always obey the Lord. We cannot need this grace enough. Human being are always tempted to disobey their maker. But keep it in mind from now that you must always obey the Lord. When you have made up your mind, the grace will always be sufficient for you (Psalm 119:11). And the Lord will always work wonders in your life. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, give me the grace to always obey your word.
