HOW REAL SERVANTS ACT

HOW REAL SERVANTS ACT Mark 10:35-45 Devotional:- “Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant” (V. 43).   The world defines greatness in terms of power, possessions, prestige and position but God determined your greatness by how many people you serve. This is quite contrary to the world view. Jesus called Himself servant and to be like Him is to be a servant. That is why it is so important to have a servant’s heart. God often test our heart by asking us to serve even outside our shape or area of interest. Your priority area of service should be in your area of shape, but God could demand for your service wherever needed. Looking at how a servant act is important because one could serve in a church for years and not be a real servant. Real servants make themselves available to serve. If you only serve when it is convenient, then you are not a good servant (2 Timothy 2:4). Real servants pay attention to needs, always lo...

KEEP SPEAKING IT

KEEP SPEAKING IT

Joshua 1:1-9
Devotional:- “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success” (V. 8) NKJV

The word only becomes potent as you keep speaking it. This is because the force that carries out the word hears you as though you have decreed. Our words are powerful because they are the expression of our spirit (Matthew 12:34). Until the word is spoken, it remains unfulfilled.

God says to Joshua that he should not let the word depart from his mouth. This is the way to be a carrier of the power of God. Most people today always put the worldly vocabularies in their mouth. God do not expect this to be our lifestyle as His children. The word of God says, we should bless and not curse (Romans 12:14). The word of God says life and death are in the power of our mouth (Proverbs 18:21). The word of God says, we shall be judged by our words (Matthew 12:36-37).

Always put the word of God in your mouth. Make it your vocabulary. Stop speaking your challenges; start to speak the word of God to your situations. That way, you will impose the word of God over your situation and effect a positive change. The devil always wants us to keep speaking our problems. The angels around us will only carry out what they hear us speak (Numbers 14:28; Ecclesiastic 5:6). So, no matter what you may be going through, keep speaking the word of God and the word will prevail in your life (Acts 19:20). Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, give me the courage to keep speaking your word notwithstanding.
