COMPARISM

COMPARISM 2 Corinthians 10:7-18 Devotional:- “Oh, don't worry; we wouldn't dare say that we are as wonderful as these other men who tell you how important they are! But they are only comparing themselves with each other, using themselves as the standard of measurement. How ignorant!” (v.12) NLT. Man, by his complexity, sometimes creates complications for himself in life. One of the things we often do incorrectly is to measure our lives by comparing them to other people’s lives. We often forget that we are sent for a different purpose, so our goals and objectives cannot be the same. There is nothing wrong with trying to gauge your level of performance against others in the same field. But it will be completely wrong for you to determine whether you are a failure or a success by the life of another man. Paul, the apostle of Christ, knows that his own purpose and program are from the Lord and are different from what others have been given. For example, if some apostles were marr...

THE HOST OF GOD

THE HOST OF GOD

Psalms 103:11-22
Devotional: -“Bless the Lord, all you His hosts, You ministers of His, who do His pleasure” (V. 21) NKJV

It is important you know that the word of God is the word of power (Ecclesiastic 8:4). The word of a ruler can be with power because of the constituted forces around him/her. Those are the people who wait to execute his/her word. So also is the word of God, it is carried out by the host of God. Those are the forces of God.

The word of God reveals to us that God has His host who wait on Him to carry out His word. The word of God says they do His pleasure. These hosts are the angels of God who are made to serve the Lord and fulfill His word. Nothing can hinder them. The Bible says, they excel in strength. In other words, no other power can match them in strength (Psalms 103:20). What makes them not to be able to work in the life of anyone is when such doubt God (James 1:6-8). Doubt cancel the activities of the host of God, but faith activates them (Romans 1:17).

Friend, please know from now that the host of God are always around you to execute every word of God that you believe and speak. What you believe and speak is a decree for them to carry out (Job 22:28). Do not speak anyhow for they don't take ‘sorry’ (Ecclesiastic 5:6). Note that you need to always put the word of God in your mouth (Joshua 1:8). Then the host of God will be there to execute it. Peace!

PRAYER: Lord, let your word always be in my mouth.

“YOU ARE MADE LIKE GOD TO SPEAK AND IT IS EXECUTED”
