Since the day you confessed Jesus as your Lord and savior you have decamped from the camp of the devil to that of Jesus (1 Peter 2:9). These camps are ever against one another, just like light and darkness cannot co-exist.   So you as a Christian must not relax. You must be vigilant. The word vigilant means your mind must be alert. It means you must be sensitive. It means you must be battle ready. To be sober simply means to humbly accept the responsibility of y...

RIGHTEOUSNESS

RIGHTEOUSNESS

Romans 3:21-26
Devotional:- “even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference;” (V. 22) NKJV

As an army of faith, we must have of good understanding of our righteousness in God. One of the ways the devil easily weakens people’s faith is by condemning them or reminding them of their past sins. So many believers also still operate in the mentality of religion and not faith. Since people think they are humble enough to always think of their sins whenever there is a challenge, the enemy makes them see themselves as not qualified for any benefit of God. All these are products of ignorance.

Please understand that Jesus died to pay for our righteousness. We now have a righteousness that is imputed on us as a cloth (Romans 4:20-25). It is a gift through faith in Christ. It is not of work neither can flesh attain it. This can only be removed when a man continues in sin (Romans 6:1). The life of a child of God should not be a life of sin (1 John 3:7-9). When a son of God sins the word of God instructs us to repent and ask for forgiveness in the name of Jesus. And the blood of Jesus will clean us (1 John 1:7-9). God no longer remembers such sin anymore (Romans 4:7-8).

You are no more to be condemned by the devil. Condemnation and confidence cannot co-exist. Stand in the righteousness of Christ. Stop living under the torment of condemnation (Romans 8:1). We are to confess and repent our sins and we receive forgiveness (1 John 1:8-9). Stand strong to resist the devil and it will always flee from you (James 4:7).

Declaration: I am free in Christ Jesus.
