JOY BEAUTIFIES

JOY BEAUTIFIES Proverbs 15:10-20 Devotional:- “A glad heart makes a happy face; a broken heart crushes the spirit” (v.13) NLT It is important that people in this generation realise that joy is one of the secrets of beauty. There is no one who does not love to look beautiful in life; people do so much to preserve their beauty. The truth is that it charms the heart of men. It is a strength for influence. It is a language that both men and women understand. Someone who lacks beauty may also be lacking in the school of favour. Don’t let anyone deceive you that it is not necessary to be beautiful. In this world, the way you look determines the way you will be treated (1 Samuel 16:7). We only need to identify true and godly beauty. God’s word says, “Charm and grace are deceptive, and beauty is vain [because it is not lasting], but a woman who reverently and worshipfully fears the Lord, she shall be praised!” (Proverbs 31:30) AMPC. The vain beauty is that of the face, but the one from t...

EXERCISING IN THE SPIRIT

EXERCISING IN THE SPIRIT

Jude 1:17-22
Devotional:- “But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit” (V. 20) NKJV

For a man to be built up in faith, he must be filled with the Holy Spirit and regularly exercise in it. That is because it is the exercises that inspire, anoint, and build faith in you for the achievement of God’s will for your life (Jude 20, Act 4:31). It will be dangerous for any man to remain dry in the Spirit, it could lead to a total defeat in life. That is why God’s word asks us to build up ourselves in the spirit.

The major means of exercising spiritually is to fellowship with the Holy Spirit in worship, the word, and prayers (Act 13:2). This entails taking time to regularly worship in the spirit, learn, and listen to Him (John 4:24). It entails listening to the Holy Spirit and meditating through the word of God (John 6:63). It also involves that we pray in tongues of the Spirit and the language of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 14:4). This will enhance our growth in faith (Jude 20).

To be able to pray in tongues, you will need to first ask for the baptism of the Holy Spirit by faith. Your asking is opening the door of your heart for Him for He is always around looking for an open door (Revelation 3:20). Then open your mouth to speak and He will enable you (Act 2:4). Don’t wait for anything to twist your tongue. Receive the Holy Spirit by faith and by faith open your mouth and begin to speak (Psalm 81:10) and it shall flow in you.

Prayer: Lord, give me a glorious experience with the Holy Spirit.

“YOU CAN’T SPEAK TWO LANGUAGES AT THE SAME TIME WHEN YOU STOP YOUR OWN; HE WILL GIVE YOU HIS OWN”.
