LIVING WITH PURPOSE

LIVING WITH PURPOSE Proverbs 19:16-23 Devotional – “You can make many plans, but the LORD's purpose will prevail” (v. 21 NLT) Living on purpose is the only way to really live; everything else just merely exists. Most people struggle with these three questions in life; WHO AM I? (Identity); WHY AM I MADE? (Purpose); WHAT IS MY PLACE IN LIFE? (Impact). The answers to these entire questions are found in five Gods purpose for you. Now that you know God’s purpose for your life, it is important you live in it. For you not to drift away from the most important things of life, it is important to develop a purpose statement for your life and regularly review it. This is a statement that summarizes God’s purpose for your life (Psalm 39:11). It is a statement that point the direction of your life (Proverbs 4:26). It spells out what you are to do and what not (Proverbs 17:24). It is a statement that defines success for you (Philippians 1:10). It is a statement that clarifies your roles and i...

EXERCISING IN THE SPIRIT

EXERCISING IN THE SPIRIT

Jude 1:17-22
Devotional:- “But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit” (V. 20) NKJV

For a man to be built up in faith, he must be filled with the Holy Spirit and regularly exercise in it. That is because it is the exercises that inspire, anoint, and build faith in you for the achievement of God’s will for your life (Jude 20, Act 4:31). It will be dangerous for any man to remain dry in the Spirit, it could lead to a total defeat in life. That is why God’s word asks us to build up ourselves in the spirit.

The major means of exercising spiritually is to fellowship with the Holy Spirit in worship, the word, and prayers (Act 13:2). This entails taking time to regularly worship in the spirit, learn, and listen to Him (John 4:24). It entails listening to the Holy Spirit and meditating through the word of God (John 6:63). It also involves that we pray in tongues of the Spirit and the language of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 14:4). This will enhance our growth in faith (Jude 20).

To be able to pray in tongues, you will need to first ask for the baptism of the Holy Spirit by faith. Your asking is opening the door of your heart for Him for He is always around looking for an open door (Revelation 3:20). Then open your mouth to speak and He will enable you (Act 2:4). Don’t wait for anything to twist your tongue. Receive the Holy Spirit by faith and by faith open your mouth and begin to speak (Psalm 81:10) and it shall flow in you.

Prayer: Lord, give me a glorious experience with the Holy Spirit.

“YOU CAN’T SPEAK TWO LANGUAGES AT THE SAME TIME WHEN YOU STOP YOUR OWN; HE WILL GIVE YOU HIS OWN”.
