FRIENDSHIP WITH GOD

FRIENDSHIP WITH GOD Romans 5:1-11 Devotional:- “For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life” (V. 10)  As a kingdom citizen please known that God wants to be your best friend. This is because intimacy is part of your act of worship. It is true that God is our maker and redeemer yet he wants to be our friend. Remember we were made to live continually in God’s presence but it is sin that makes us loose that (Gen 3, Roman 3:23)  In our scripture for today we saw that it was grace through the sacrifice of the cross that gives us access to friendship with God (2 Corinthians 5:18). Our friendship with God does not mean casual acquaintance but close and trusted relationships just like the best man in a wedding. In the palace the servant must keep their distance from the king but there are some people in circle of intimate and trusted friends with the king. They enjoy free an...

HOLY SPIRIT

HOLY SPIRIT

John 16:5-15
Devotional:-“However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come” (V.13) NKJV

It should be settled in your heart that you are a spirit being. You are not just an ordinary flesh like a mere animal. You are more than a mere biological being. Please know that one spirit or the other influences each man. Two major spirits control life; the spirit of God and the spirit of the enemy. No one is free from either of these spirits. No neutral ground and no vacuum. All of us have either of them.

Jesus came to deliver men from the influences of the evil spirit and to baptize us with the Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:11). The Lord wants you to experience the same baptism. You cannot receive the Holy Spirit just by going to the church but by asking for it (Luke 11:13). That is why many so-called Christians are still with the spirit of the enemy. The truth is that no one can be a child of God except the Holy Spirit is dwelling in such (1 Corinthians 12:3). When you have the Holy Spirit, you can easily use the weapon of God.

To receive the Holy Spirit, you must desire it with a thirst for Him (John 7:37-38). Then create time to set yourself apart to ask Him (Luke 11:13). As you ask by faith, He will baptize you. That is, you will be full of God’s fullness. Notice that you are the one to open your mouth to speak. Speak and He will fill it (Psalm 81:10).

Prayer: Lord, baptize me with your Spirit.

“IT IS EITHER YOU HAVE THE HOLY SPIRIT OR ANOTHER SPIRIT”
