  DON’T HATE Matthew 5:43-48  Devotional:- “But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,” (V. 44) NKJV The subject of love is not always easy to practise between you, and those who have shown themselves as committed enemies. Those who will openly stand against you. Those who just hate you for no reason. Those who don’t pray that anything good should happen to you. Yet the Bible gave us a commandment in the midst of it all to love and never to hate them. What a great task! But until a Christian grows to this level, he cannot actually be called mature. The way to handle it is that we should bless those who curse us. Always do good to those who hate you. If they are moved by the spirit in them to do evil to you, be moved by the Spirit in you to love them. We cannot truly say we love till we can prayerfully demonstrate the character of love. OBEDIENCE

Luke 5:1-10
Devotional:- “But Simon answered and said to Him, "Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net." (V.5) NKJV

    If we are going to see the great power of God at work in our lives? If we are going to become a point of reference to the mighty works of God? If we will become God’s vessel to turn the world around for God? then we must embrace obedience to God’s instruction. Often time when God speaks to us, our mind queries His instruction. Divine instructions may not look reasonable but they are powerful.

In the scripture we read today, Jesus used Peter’s ship to minister to people and after the ministration, He asked him to launch his net to the deep for fishes. This is because God will not owe anyone his reward for service. But Peter complained of how long they’ve been toiling without result. He was only willing to do it to satisfy Jesus but, in the course, he experienced a miracle.

Friend, why don’t you take to the instruction of God concerning your situation by faith? You need to stop hardening your heart against His instructions (Job 9:4). The ways of God is different from our ways (Isaiah 55:8 -11). The wise will be humble to obey always (Matthew 7:24). What is He asking you to do for His kingdom or His servants? What is He asking you to do concerning your business and studies? Go ahead and please the Lord. Then you will see the tremendous power of God for breakthroughs.

Prayer: Lord, grant me grace to obey you.

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
