LOOKING UNTO HIM

LOOKING UNTO HIM Psalms 34:1-7 Devotional:- “They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces were not ashamed” (V. 5) NKJV To enjoy the love of God for us, we must learn to keep looking unto Him. The scripture says, they looked unto him and were not ashamed. No one trusts in Him who will be ashamed at the end. It is amazing that Joseph, whom they sold as a slave, eventually became a ruler. Because that is God’s plan for Him (Genesis 45:1-9). Amazingly, Abraham, who had no children for almost a hundred years, at last became the father of eight children before he died (Genesis 25:1-2, 9). These are proofs of God’s faithfulness. Because He also has a plan for each of us, He does not want us to be discouraged or frustrated, but rather to keep looking unto Him. This is because He has a plan for us, and it shall surely come to pass. That is why He said, "I know the plans that I have for you; they are not of evil, but good, to give you a hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11). H...

LABOUR OF FAITH

LABOUR OF FAITH

Hebrews 4:1-12
Devotional:-“Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief” (V.11)

Most believers have not come to an understanding of the need to labor in the word of God. Everyone wants the strength and exploit of the word of God but not ready to labor for it. Laboring in the word of God is simply studying meditatively to know the truth of the word of God.

Apostle Paul told Timothy to study to show himself approved by God (2 Timothy 2:15). The bible says the word of God should be rich in us (Colossians 3:16). But this takes some measure of labor. So many Christians today cannot explain a verse in the bible but can narrate all films in town. Some don’t search the scripture at all not to mention having an interest in attending bible study or school. Laboring in the word of God is not only for the pastors but for everyone who wants to grow strong in the Lord and enter into rest. The Berea church was known for this (Acts 17: 10-12).

From now when you contact a scripture either in church or during personal study time, search to know it more. Study it to have better understanding of it, and you will be a strong person of faith. You will have rest over what troubles others. And gain the strength of knowledge (Proverbs 24:5). Peace.

Prayer: Lord, give me love for your word.

“THE MORE YOU KNOW THE STRONGER YOU WILL BE”
