DON'T BLAME GOD

DON’T BLAME GOD James 1:12-20 Devotional:- “And remember, when you are being tempted, do not say, "God is tempting me." God is never tempted to do wrong, and he never tempts anyone else” (V. 13) NLT Today, there is so much confusion the enemy places in the heart of men to make them feel that God hate them. So, when people are under the pressure of the flesh to sin, they say “God is tempting me”. When people are weak, they are going to face temptation through their flesh. It wil be wrong to say God is tempting you with sickness or troubles. Yes, God knows about it but He only allows it when we have been warned repeatedly and we refuse to change. He disciplines, but it is necessary for us to know that God is not the author of evil, that is the work of the devil (Hebrews 12:6; Matthew 4:24).  There is a difference between a test and temptation. To test means to examine or observe if someone is capable of doing something. To tempt means to entice or lure someone into doing some...

GETTING FAITH

GETTING FAITH

Romans 10:13-17
Devotional:- “So faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God” (V. 17)

It is of great importance that we know that faith is not just confessions. It is not just believing but a fire in your spirit taking from the word of God when you meditate in it.

When faith does not have its source in the word of God, then it is fake and capable of bringing shame. The word of God is the source of genuine faith that cannot fail. The ignorance of this is the reason for the frustration in the body of Christ today. People think they have faith when they do not. The word of God could come to you through someone preaching the word. It could be through reading and meditating on the word of God or reading books written by men of the Holy Spirit. It is the Spirit from the Word that ignites faith.

To receive faith through the word is not just by reading but by meditating and seeking to know the truth. This is meditating in the word till the spirit of the word jumps on you (John 6:63; John 10:34-35). This is reading with an eye for solution. When your heart has taken faith from the word of God, everyone around you will know. It will generate and transmit strength into your spirit. You will be too ready to disgrace the devil in your situation. No one will need to tell you that you have faith, you will know it yourself. Even the devil will be afraid of you.

Friend, it is time to search the scripture to build up faith that will terminate the challenges of your life. You are already a victor; you only need to take faith from the word and your victory will manifest (1 John 5:4).

Prayer: Lord, deliver the word for my victory to me.

“WHEN FAITH COMES, VICTORY WILL NATURALLY FOLLOW”
