FRIENDSHIP WITH GOD Romans 5:1-11 Devotional:- “For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life” (V. 10)  As a kingdom citizen please known that God wants to be your best friend. This is because intimacy is part of your act of worship. It is true that God is our maker and redeemer yet he wants to be our friend. Remember we were made to live continually in God’s presence but it is sin that makes us loose that (Gen 3, Roman 3:23)  In our scripture for today we saw that it was grace through the sacrifice of the cross that gives us access to friendship with God (2 Corinthians 5:18). Our friendship with God does not mean casual acquaintance but close and trusted relationships just like the best man in a wedding. In the palace the servant must keep their distance from the king but there are some people in circle of intimate and trusted friends with the king. They enjoy free an...

GOD’S REVELATION

GOD’S REVELATION

I Samuel 17:23-32
Devotional:- For who is this uncircumcised Philistines, that he should defy the armies of the living God (V. 26)

Every man in the face of battle needs what will arouse his mind to strength. The weapon of God that produces our faith is the revelation of the word of God. When God’s word is revealed to our hearts, it creates tremendous power. It breeds faith in us and makes us operate in the supernatural strength of God for our victory (John 10:34-35).

The day David came to the battlefront of the children of Israel and the Philistines; God revealed to him that the army of Israel was not an ordinary army; that the living God is the captain of this army. So, he had a different revelation and understanding of this army. As for Saul, they were ordinarily his army but in the mind of David, they were the army of the living God and all of us know that no one can face the living God. So, if God is for us we cannot afford to be mocked by the uncircumcised enemy, and this formed the basis of his victory (Romans 8:31).

Friend, seek to see God in His word by meditating in His word and strength will arouse in you for victory.

Prayer: Lord, reveal yourself to me in your word.

“WHAT YOU SEE ABOUT GOD DETERMINES YOUR CONFIDENCE”.
